Drag Slicks

Drag Slicks
Would you run a set of slicks that have been sitting in a non-climate controlled garage not in plastic bags for three years on a 400+whp car at the drag strip?

Discuss.

Why not!

If you, Marc, can't keep the car straight on one wheel down a drag strip I don't know who could!

Now I wouldnt recommend people to do this but if its you Marc, why not!

If you got them back, you can stop complaining now. Take it up with with the people responsible, not the entire forum. And if you didn't get them back and are still whining to everyone, you can stop anyway.

No more discussion about that...

Anyway, to answer the question, I wouldn't run at the drag strip at all. Boooooooring Lol

(especailly in my car...)

Why not?

Other than being harder due to age, do they actually pose any kind of risk?

Maybe stick to the 1/8 mile tracks so your trap speed is lower, so if one catastrophically fails you are less likely to injure yourself.

Easy their big guy, Marc has done a TON of shit for this club. He should get a couple of the members to get down on their knees and beg him for forgiveness but those people are too cool to admite they ave done wrong.

You fail in so many ways in your post..

whoever has done wrong does not include the people currently in charge. therefore, they should not be penalized for the actions of others. also, this is in more than one place and cluttering.

I don't completely disagree, but he's not doing that, he's just stirring the pot. Or that's what it looks like. Being nice does not give you a free pass to act like this in the future.

Marc, please, confront the people that are responsible and leave the rest of us alone, we don't want to hear it.

I run SEVERAL year old ET Drags that have been in a garage (uncontrolled climate). They work.

Interesting I was just asking a question.

That wouldn't be fun.

I have asked nicely many times over the last few years and still don't have them back. I don't know why it's so hard to return something in a reasonable amount of time.

I lent them to the club for a club event I will keep asking the club. I did not lend them to an individual. I was asked if the club could borrow them because I could not go to the event that year.

Is that too much to ask for? I would gladly take that because:

1. It's been a ridiculous amount of time.
2. The tires were in great condition and have not been taken care of since then.
3. I have done nothing but given to the club, much more than most.

If you don't want to hear about it too bad because I will keep bringing it up until something is done.

MICKEY THOMPSON ET Drag

They were mounted to a pair of 93 GSR wheels.
One of these sizes IIRC:

3018 20.0/8.0-14

3013 24.5/8.0-14

I can not help on the rims but if the CLUB wants to put this to rest I can ship him new tires for $400 paid via PP or CC, cash I can do $385.
