Konig Helium
Any body know much about the Konig Helium... seems like a good deal for the weight??? I'd prefer to have a 7" rim and ~ 30mm offset but for that price I could add a spacer???

I just checked and JLB has the same price at the place you posted. I like them and they are definitely light for the price. Marc has a set on the hatch last I knew.

Awesome for the money.

Not necessarily the most sturdy wheels out there. Mine are nearing six years old and I've had no problems, even with 30-40k miles and lots of autocrosses. The finish is coming off in places... it's paint, not powder-coat. I have heard they're not great for extended track time, and I know one person who has bent a couple from daily driving.

The club used to have a set just like mine (bronze, 15") on the black CRX club car.

The Konig center caps are rubbish, I'm on my second set after breaking/losing the first four, and the clear-coat/sticker they use is ruined after one summer.

The Kosei K1 is pretty light, fairly strong, comes in 7" width, and is not much more. I think some use it as a spec Miata wheel?

I wonder how the TRMotorsports C1M holds up. Tire Rack has them for $99 each, in 15x7, in 30mm offset, stated weight is 13.0lb.

Tire Rack also lists the Kosei K1 Racing for $115, I'm not sure what the difference is other than the K1 Racing appears to be heavier (to actually work with the 13lb Spec Miata limit)

I'm not endorsing Tire Rack necessarily, but it's a quick reference.

Konig heliums have long been one of the more popular 15" lightweight wheels. I owned a set a loooong time ago and my ex-civic also had a set on it. They are a good wheel for the money, but as someone else mentioned they aren't the most sturdy. The lip on 2 of the civic's wheels were dented pretty bad by potholes, but they still hold air.

Goodwin Racing is a popular miata parts retailer. They usually stock the heliums for $89 each, but sometimes they go on sale for $75-79 each. I've purchased wheels from them before

Check out their prices: http://www.good-win-racing.com/Mazda-Per...heels.html

Kosei K1's have been around for a while. I had a set on my 99 miata at one point. They are known for being relatively lightweight (I believe 13lbs), and also for being damn sturdy for their price. These wheels are well built and can take a beating. I literally nailed a curb once head on with these in my miata and not a single scratch/dent/scuff on the wheel. My konig's would have buckled.

The K1 was discontinued a few weeks after the K1-TS came out, but were reintroduced recently due to demand. K1-TS is a little lighter, but it's not nearly as sturdy. The K1-TS when it originally came out was under 10lbs per wheel, but IIRC had strength issues, and the redesigned wheel came in at a couple lbs heavier.
