Just ran into Heyward at Nicks on his way back from the event. Kinda hard to mis the truck and trailer with the "ST" Civic sitting on the back. Sounds like a fun time.

Hey guys.. just wanted to point something out.

THIS is two great examples of what getting the opportunity to build skills in driving while you are in college can do for you later. Devin, Ken, Marc, Heyward, Sam... there's plenty of others that showcase this as well. Whether you stick with Solo II or move into time trial or into road racing... the skills you learn now through the opportunities CSCC is providing you with in events, networking with other drivers and car people, forum tech discussions, etc. ... all that pays off.

It's easy to watch Marc in that Honda and say "Man... he's just got the fast gene." But he will tell you, practice, seat time and dialing in the car to your driving style will build dramatically on whatever raw talent you may have. No one is born fast... but there are plenty of people (like Marc) that have the burning desire to go fast at an early age...and those people DO seem to get there quicker. wink

Thanks for representing us well guys! Looking forward to seeing more CSCC members competing and succeeding in whatever area of motorsports you are in! ..

Understeer is when you hit the mountain with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the mountain with the rear of the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the mountain, torque is how far you move the mountain.

Great post Ted, couldn't be more true in terms of opening doors and gaining insight into a field that we are all heavily interested/involved in. Marc has been driving for a long time, and going fast for along time too Smile

Marc, congrats, give em hell at the next event!!!!! When is the hatch making its SM return?

One Lap?!? I hope...just so busy and have little time to race with my job right now.

They split SM into SM and SMF (fwd SM) so maybe someday.

I personally like the ST class to compete because the cars are almost the same so it's more of a drivers class instead of my pockets are deeper class. Pretty much a spec Civic class for auto-x.

SMF would be fun to see... though it might also be good for the new rumored street tire class - Street Tire Fully Unlimited Lol
