Most frustrating maneuver
Just out of curiosity, what do you guys think is the most difficult or frustrating maneuver to perform well? The infamous 2-3 shift? Heel-toe downshift?

In my car the most frustrating thing is the 1-2 shift. I can nail 2-3 and 3-4 almost every time but the 1-2 always grinds, which leads me to believe it is a tranny problem and not a clutch-timing problem. But it's frustrating. Haven't bothered trying to learn the heel-toe thing because my pedals are too far apart. I just blip the throttle as I let the clutch back out after I brake (with the clutch in).
You?

slowing down on the highway...

Oh and people that drive slow in the left lane...

other than that? getting my long and tall fat ass into any car.
My size 15 feet dont help either. In the z, i have to sit down, lift my legs up, turn and usually still kick the door panel when i get in..

Heel-toeing in my car; I'm either doing it wrong or my pedals are too far apart Lol

Probably a combination of both, more the former.

I'd have to go with heal-toe. I either apply too much brake and not enough gas or not enough brake and too much gas

In the Z, heel toe can be a little tricky, but I got it down pat in the Mazda. I never have to left foot brake, so I can't speak to that.

I was able to heel toe pretty nicely at the Carowinds autox...

My gears are short as hell, and that was by far the biggest course I've ever seen. My fastest time was 105 seconds. There were a couple points where I could switch to third gear, one of them reasonably. After switching to third gear, there was a 90 degree right turn where I was able to heel toe it to second... I was so proud of myself. :-D I had never really been able to do that effectively before.

I usually wear flip-flops all the time so I always drive barefoot, I think it'd be possible if I were wearing shoes but still pretty tough.

You ever try it in your Civic Zach? I imagine the pedal layout is the same.

It was pretty easy from when I remember, but you have to use your toes on both pedals. You can't get your heel on the gas because the bottom of the pedal is really high.

My foot's not wide enough for that, it fits between the pedals. I'll have to try it with shoes.
