Engine swap?
What it is?

Yeah im swaping a sucky engine that eats all its oil for possibly another sucky engine that eats all its oil.

Nissan doesnt know when to fold... roll

Oh well, they can have their new sucky engine back along with the rest of the car sometime in the next 30,000 miles.

And still working on details but might be getting mommas GS300 for the autocross...

Keep bumping and posting on other forums guys. 60+ driver turnout is still our break-even point.

As soon as Keegan O'Dell finishes adding all the required classes. Should be done by end of the day today.

I'll be there Smile However I need help classifying my car... This whole points thing is confusing the crap out of me. Here's what I have

* 1996 Mustang GT (vCool

Suspension/etc.
* Eibach pro kit springs
* Tokico HP shocks
* Caster/camber plates
* Kumho Ecsta SPT tires (cheap street tires)

Engine/drivetrain
* Short throw shifter
* Heads / cams / intake manifold from a 2002 mustang (basically I have a stock '02 engine)
* k&n air filter
* flowmaster mufflers

Anyone care to pitch in what class I should register for?

Not sure off hand. Did you find where the car is in for a base class? I didn't find the pts to hard to configure, but my car doesn't have tons of stuff done to it either.

NXE* (+7 pts)
Sprins: +2
Shocks: +3
CC plates: free points
Shifter: no points
HCI: the '01 is NXE** with more power and more weight than your car; maybe move your base to NXE**? No worse than moving base to NXD, I would think.
K&N: if filter only, 0; if CAI +1
Flow: if muffler only (no pipes) +1

my guess is NXD (+6 or 7 points in addition to base class; if you start in NXE** or NXD you still end in NXD)

prob easier to classify if it were a 99 GT - there is no material difference between your car and that car and you'd prob get assigned the 99 GT's base class if you went through the process to get a new class for your "swap".
