Anybody Have Any Experience with Washington State?
Just contemplating going out to Redmond Washington for an interview and was wondering if any of you have any experience with the area.

I'm not sure they will let me bring my MBP to work but hey, its a JOB!

I lived in Seattle one summer. It rained almost as much as it does in the jungle.

What tires would you run if you auto-x this weekend?

I have some friends who live(d) up there.
I've never been though, even though I was offered an internship at t-mobile, which is in Bellview.

It's on my list of places to look for a job. From what I hear it's really nice, if you don't mind a little (a lot) of rain. Do you like outdoorsy stuff and recycling? Oh and coffee?

I also hear the people are really cool and of course sticky green medicine is legal, if you care about things like that.

at first i read this and was thinking why the hell is Sam going to WSU in Pullman WA (BFE, middle of nowhere, farm land)

I think it would be a neat move. Definitely a huge contrast from SC. I would definitely like to spend a few years living in the NW. DO IT

Before you get on that plane you had better read How Would You Move Mount Fuji lest you make a complete ass of yourself in the interview.

Microsoft interviews are riddled with puzzles and ego plays. Read the book and come prepared! (Investment Banks play the same games, so that's how I know).

The sticky green medicine isn't a draw but definitely a perk! I don't like recycling but I do like outdoorsy stuff, the wet I will come to live with I suppose, and check on the coffee drinker :0

Thank you very much Sam, I appreciate the advice!!!

I think I am going to be going out there next week pending I pass the test they just made me take Smile

Are you interviewing for a job or internship?

I applied to Microsoft Game studios/xbox team but specified some alternatives on my resume because i'm sure that is where a majority applies to.

For a Job.

With Turn 10 Studios, the dudes that did Forza, they are a division of MSoft.
