It was nice to meet everyone tonight, hopefully we can go to the dragstrip or get an autocross together soon. Haven't had a chance to REALLY drive the Z yet.

*cough, http://www.zdayz.com , cough*

I would love to go there, but I want to get a paint job first, haha. I am embarrassed about how scratched up my hood is, makes it look like I'm not giving the Z as much TLC as my budget will allow.

go there to drive, not to show. it's about the people. it's literally one of the best Z events in the entire country and it's 2 hours away from clemson. last year there were 457 registered participants and well over 250 cars there. nissan always brings something interesting to see (this year, word is it will be a pre-pro 2013 370z, which is the "refreshed" version). zdayz is an awesome, amazing, fantastic event. i convinced a few non-Z people from this forum to come last year and they had a damn blast. seriously... try to make it. also, z nationals is in the fall and worthy of saving for as well thumbsup

I'm definitely down to go, it really does look amazing. Would be even better if there was a group from here going. I hadn't heard of Z days until just now, but just looked it up http://www.znationals.com/. That looks great too! Gotta get my Nissan affiliation down-packed before these, used to love Mitsubishi but they ditched performance to hug trees Sad

nissan is going the opposite direction. the 2012 GTR makes 530hp and has lower emissions than a toyota prius (SULEV Bin II... i'm not making this up). pretty awesome imo. it helps being turbo charged since combustion and exhaust gas temps are pretty high. the 911 turbo is the same way. i forget the exact percentage but i remember someone saying that the GTR (and 911 turbo) driving through the majority of large cities have cleaner air coming out of the vehicle than what's going in. that's pretty incredible with the performance they return. granted they don't get 40+mpg. still, 20ish mpg on the highway isn't bad for a vehicle so capable. i'm going on a week long road trip with a good friend of mine leading up to zdayz in his 2012 GTR. we're going on a tour of the south, stopping at Z1 motorsports as well as NASA in hunstville, AL, NNA in smyrna TN and some whiskey distilleries in KY before ending up at fontana village for zdayz. should be awesome twisted

Welcome! Myself and a few others travel a good bit to autox in the southeast. There's a great autox coming up in Charlotte at Z-Max dragway lot in 3 weeks. I would highly suggest you come if you get a chance.
