F1 in NY in 2013?
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2011/wr...index.html
Hmmm... I heard Humpy Wheeler speak at a dinner last night. He was the Founder of Charlotte Motorspeedway and pretty famous track promoter for Salt Flats, Indy 500 and NASCAR for many years. He's heavily involved and he has meetings with Bernie in last two months. The required $23Million is available for the F1 rights so Bernie is very agreeable... we'll see. Humpy was quite a speaker... told a lot of stories from NASCAR and CMS. He stirred up the famous Dale Earnhardt vs Darrell Waltrip fight to create some market interest from the crowd... he told each things the other said....it worked! He also said he is pushing for 2013 NASCAR to consider running in rain on rain tires. He was also the voice of Tex on Pixar movie CARS. He autographed a copy of his book "Growing Up NASCAR" for me ... will let you know what I think. Ted E. Bayer - Hillclimbing Understeer is when you hit the mountain with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the mountain with the rear of the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the mountain, torque is how far you move the mountain. |
