In place of the previously scheduled T4T autocross we will be having a CMP Karting day on Sunday, Dec 11th. Payment for one round of karting (10 minute sessions!) will be one new, unwrapped toy. Usual karting sessions cost about $15 so dont's skimp out on the toys. Also please try to keep girls in mind while shopping for your toys, I know you all love buying manly plastic tools but they do make pink car toys too
![]() We would also love to get toys even if you can't make it to the event, WE LOVE DONTATIONS!!! So go and buy moar toys!!! ![]() We will set up a get together (with free food) in Hendrix Center's David Peebles room from 6PM to 8PM on Friday December 9th. That is the glass room across from Guest Services on the second floor of the Hendrix Center. We will most likely have some fun things going on (rc car autocross, video games, possible raffle prizes) so be sure to drop by! If you want to go karting but you can't make the gathering before then let one of the officers know!! The officers would also like to make a small proposition: If we can get AT LEAST 60 TOYS between now and the karting day we will all dress up as different Mario Kart characters during the races (other participants will be welcome to participate as well). Again, even if you can't make it to the event we would still love to get another large donation of toys to send along. Check out the track! There will be some good racing going on out on the road course to watch during breaks! We have the track reserved from 1-4PM so we need to get there around 12. For those who want to caravan up with us from Clemson we will be meeting at the BiLo at 9AM on Sunday and heading out from there. If you will be meeting us at CMP then plan on getting there at noon. If you need a ride don't hesitate to ask, there will be plenty of seats available! |

RE: Toys for Tots CMP Karting
Pink car toys? What about pink ponies?
Ted E. Bayer - Hillclimbing Understeer is when you hit the mountain with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the mountain with the rear of the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the mountain, torque is how far you move the mountain. |

Post up if you are going! We have the track for three hours to ourselves so take advantage of it!!! We know exams start right after this, so use this as a study break!! If you have friends that want to join they are welcome as long as we aren't up to 30 people so invite them too!
One toy for every 10 solid minutes of track time- Racing this cheap does not come often!!! |

RE: Toys for Tots CMP Karting *TIME Update*
This might be the dumbest question ever to be asked on this forum, but...
I have never been karting before, obviously I don't own a cart, so I am just assuming we are renting karts? Yes, no? 2005 Mustang GT premium convertible -JLT CAI, Pypes exhaust, some other mods, and of course... custom tire stains on the back seat. 2009 Razor A kick scooter -custom 98mm cored wheels with Lucky Bearings, custom Schwinn BMX handlebars |

They supply the karts, helmets, and neck braces. All you supply are your butts and your toys or cash (BRING TOYS). It'll be cold anyway, I would suggest that you wear long pants and sleeves in case you take an off track excursion. It's quite sandy and rocks and pepper your arms.

False alarm, they have 102k miles on them D: I can get new calipers for $30 more, which is basically all that's good in that guy's kit that he's selling (102k mile rotors and pads? no thanks)

RE: Toys for Tots CMP Karting *TIME Update*
I have to confess there is extra incentive for gettting there at noon.....CMP has a 1 hour "quiet" period every Sunday from 12-1 while the church next to the track has services. During this time, people are allowed to take their street cars for a tour of the track if they so choose. You CANNOT go over highway speeds (<70), but you can usually get around 10 times around the circuit

I just got permission from my wife to go -- is it okay if an alumnus comes along? I'll bring toys for the kids.
