I have an exam in Daniel right before the meeting so I will definitely be there; I'm excited to hear the news about the new car.

RE: MEETING WEDNESDAY!
Really another car?

Whats the deal on the autocrosses for those of us who can't make it to the meetings??? I need to make a decision on what I am doing that weekend, and would much rather go to the autocross...

+1

I must be missing something but now isn't exactly the best time to be sinking more money into a "club" asset thats intended for events we don't even have right now.

And I put club in quotes because this wasn't a club decision...

RE: MEETING WEDNESDAY!
I would imagine that the decision was not reached on a whim, meaning either it was a deal too good to pass up or they're confident that autox's will be sorted out. How do you even know we paid for it? The decision to get all the new tires wasn't a club decision either... (or should I say "new")

RE: MEETING WEDNESDAY!
I happen to know that the new car didn't cost the club anything...and it doesn't need much, really just a good cleaning and some TLC. Please post concerning the autox asap, John isn't the only one needing to make plans.

RE: MEETING WEDNESDAY!
I will say that if we do not hear back from Anderson today or tomorrow by the time the meeting comes around there will not be another autocross this semester. This time of year anyone with a lot big enough to use nearby is either using it themselves or for other events already. However Steve is working on putting together an alternate Toys for Tots event for the same day should that happen. We will know for sure by the meeting. As far as the new toy goes we are not planning on doing anything with it untill we get more events sorted out. We did not go out looking for another car, its just something that came along that would have been stupid to pass up. We have already arranged for a few calls to be made to parking services both from inside and outside of the university so hopefully we can get some momentum for getting back on campus without dumbing down the events and spending all of our money.

RE: MEETING WEDNESDAY!
^^ Kat hit the nails on the head for me, but we have some developments going on with the University and I'm going to have a meeting organized soon with PS and a number of personel that will get us on the right track. We still haven't gotten any cooperation from Anderson or any other lot, so I'm not having an autocross before the end of the semester. I refuse to throw together a haphazard event after the issues we had last time. I'll give more details at the meeting and will post them here afterwards, but we are going to do a TFT tie in with CMP for a kart day and I'll arrange a donation time for everyone that wants to come out and donate as well.

Have the club officers tried some louisianna legislation yet? (dinner invite with the parking services manager delivered by some campus hotties to discuss future events and maybe a good will xmas present, (hush money), ).
