RE: Rallye?
I've run about 30 rallys and been rallymaster for about 5. They can be run within speed limits, safely and be a lot of fun... particularly landmark type rallys where you are looking for landmarks from instructions to know where to turn. You can drive a VW Bug or GMC Pick-up, Driver & Navigator or a family with kids. Cheap, fun and see neat roads while competing for accuracy, staying on course and completing stages in proper times.
You guys want to do one, I'll get busy... might hep make the winter pass a bit quicker...

Understeer is when you hit the mountain with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the mountain with the rear of the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the mountain, torque is how far you move the mountain.

RE: Rallye?
I won't be here over winter break at all but if we showed enough interest I'm sure we would take you up on the offer, Ted!

Ryan... do you not ever drive your car on public roads? Linkie specifically said no dirt roads... and we can say the same for our rally.

RE: Rallye?
we had one two years ago. the organizer was banned from the forum a week after spending a month getting the poker run going...

then again, he was being an ass on the forum, but thats what happens when everyone was discussing politics on a car forum.

i'd be down. even if the wife wasnt.

Weren't those the days.

Anyway, if I could make it down for something like this I'd love to, always wanted to do one of these. I can follow speed limits if I want to Tongue

RE: Rallye?
Maybe we talk about this at the next meeting? I don't see why this couldn't work or not be a lot of fun.
