Where do I sign up?
It isn't the car. It's the driver. |

RE: Ford bringing back the 1965 Mustang
Didn't they already make basically brand new rollers? Or is this just the first time this is a Ford product? I've seen Camaro rollers, complete shells, stamped with new steel and modern welding before, but I don't think that was a Chevy product. Pretty cool stuff, just make sure they don't stuff an LS1 under there...
Could you fit a Coyote in there? I remember reading you had to swap over to a Mustang II style suspension to fit a Modular into a first gen 'stang, is the Coyote any smaller than the Modulars were? Hi. I like V8s. It's a sleeper.Everyone knows blue cars are the fastest. CSCC Prez 2012-13 (or til the end of the world) |

RE: Ford bringing back the 1965 Mustang
Several years ago, Ford licensed a company called Dynacorn to build all new body shells for the 69-70 fastback Mustangs. This was a such a booming success, that they've since licensed all early Mustangs for them to build. The tooling dimensions are identical to the original Mustangs and use all new steel. They are sold for you to either re-skin your own old Mustang, or use a chassis like from Art Morrison to build one all new. The modular engines of today are light, but dimensionally massive. You have to cut the fender wells and delete the shock towers to fit them in classic Mustangs and the best way is to use the Mustang II style cradle, which are everywhere!!!! Rod & Custom Motorsports from Florence, SC builds some of the best kits to do this

Ford still sells fuel injected pushrod crate motors (302, 351, 427 too i believe) for applications like this.
