Thanks - Eurofest Volunteers and AX drivers!
EUROFEST Volunteers - THANK you so much. IF you went to the show and/or the driving event at the performance enter, it appeared like everything was going smoothly. As with any great effort, that is the goal : the appearance of smooth waters and all is well. Well, I had 11 volunteers on last Thursday noon... only needed one more to have everything covered. I received a call after our SWCCCR meeting Thursday night... that we needed almost double that. I started calling and begging and somehow... we ended up with 23. Some were from Clemson, some SCCA, some NASA... some I have never met and have no idea how they came to be at the event... but I am thankful for every one that came. I hope everyone got some seat time in an BMW as a small thanks... but please know you helped out a GREAT cause that may help people you know right here in the upstate. We sold out just about every ticket... I still can't believe that. Last year, we raised over $8000 through the "Performance Center Arrive n Drive" effort but I have not heard numbers for this year.
THANKS so much... really appreciate your help. This is sports car people having a real affect on the are... when they are not behind the wheel. Special thanks to Kathryn and Keri for helping out with ticket sales...

Understeer is when you hit the mountain with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the mountain with the rear of the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the mountain, torque is how far you move the mountain.

EUROFEST AX Drivers -

Thanks for coming out... 165 drivers. Hope you had fun! Clemson was well represented... TJ or Jeremy one took FTD in the Jedi ... still not sure! We may just cut the trophy in half. ; ) Steve W. and Kathryn in 3rd and sixth in D Stock.
Nate 2nd and Don 4th in STR! Zach 1st in CSP on 15 year old street tires that are hard as diamonds...Zach G. 2nd in DSP! Sorry if I missed anyone... please post up!

To be honest... there were a lot of GOOD drivers from CSCC that were not there. BUT, considering the ones who came and the level of competition with a field that big, that's pretty impressive. There over 20 drivers there competing who have placed in SCCA National events in the last two years.

Congratulations to CSCC and all who drove and came out to watch. Thanks!

RE: Thanks - Eurofest Volunteers and AX drivers!
I was annoyed at the results....my 3rd run was clean on my time slip! I was sure I hung that 30.6 out there. Oh well, it was still a blast to drive something that is in many ways the opposite of my car Big Grin

Didnt do too bad for my first event, ran a 33 the last lap with a drift in the bottom corner that slowed me down a lot, so prob a solid 31 without it. It was extremely fun, wish I had done better though. Cant wait for the next one!
