Clemson to Le MANS RACE
So apparently the traffic is pretty bad getting to RA on the saturday of Petit. I was thinking of leaving the Bi-Lo parking lot at 8 or 9? What does everyone think?

i'm meeting my friend with the black GTR black edition i shot back in june around 7:45am or so at exit 19 if you want to roll down with us...

Unfortunately, I'm not going this year but this is my experience with timing.
I've been to this thing a bunch of times (each year gets worse as the crowd multiplies) and I can tell you that if you are not at the track by 8:30-9 then you will be in traffic forever, it's like Clemson gameday traffic times 10. There is one two lane road in and out. Last year I got to the exit on I85 at 9:30am (which I had to sit in the emergency lane to get off) and barely made the start of the race at 11:15ish. Traffic backs up from the track past the interstate (~5 miles). If you are parking in the infield, I would plan to get there before 8am or you won't find a spot. The biggest benefit of getting there early is that they park all the racecars on the front stretch after the warmup laps and allow the fans to see the cars and drivers up close before the race starts...worth getting up a little earlier for. I am not 100% sure I will make it, but I will know tomorrow. If I do make it you can expect me to be at Bi-Lo at 7am Saturday morning. Leaving at 7:15, caravan or not.

John my buddies and I will meet you there, my car is down but we'll be in my buddy's F150. Zach and Mike you better be there too. With that timing we could hit exit 19 around 7:45, right? Or we take the shortcut to 85 and Patrick and his buddy can catch up... if they're capable.

I'll be driving up from Aiken and probably will get there around 9:45 or 10 at the latest.
