First from DC?
Hey everyone,
I'm Austin and I'm a Freshman planning on majoring in chemical engineering. I lived for 16 years just outside Detroit and then lived for in DC for two years. I lived in Chrysler territory so I know all about Mopar. I also spent the summer interning at Roush Engineering so i got to know some stuff from there. I am currently driving a 2003 Ford Focus SVT. I did a few mods on it but I ran out of money and I am pouring money into repairs so I think I am done modding that car. I've never autocrossed before but I have done a little bit of go kart racing. At one point I had the lap record at the place I was going to it later got beaten....Can't wait to shred my tires tho. -Austin 2003 Ford Focus SVT |

Welcome! Autocrossing is probably the best way to get into motorsport and learn driving techniques without breaking the bank.

Welcome! I don't think we've had an SVT, Micheal, but I can't say for sure.
Also, people actually live in DC? What??? I don't think I ever saw a DC plate on campus.

Welcome Austin! Is your svt a silver 5-door?

It has essentially the same power/drivetrain as my Mazda3 (2.3L 5-speed). The svt is a 2.0L 6-speed (makes the same power as a Mazdaspeed Protege without the use of a turbo). Welcome. I have always liked the SVT's but I have never driven one. Or a normal focus for that matter.
