RE: Who's going to this
Zach, you can always run in the tire class and run PAX against those guys.

RE: Who's going to this
Since we don't have any autocrosses scheduled right now, can we at least set up a tent (on the grass of course) with a CSCC banner and have everyone pit together? Represent ? It would be good to let people know CSCC is still around ... lot of USC folks coming up from Columbia...
Same for BMW event in Spartanburg Oct. 16th... Ted E. Bayer - Hillclimbing Understeer is when you hit the mountain with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the mountain with the rear of the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the mountain, torque is how far you move the mountain. |

I like the idea however, the Michelin and BMW events work a little different than most paddocks. You don't have a choice at Michelin of where to pit, they pit you in line behind the last car on the side of the access road as you arrive. Unless we all meet up somewhere and come in all together, we won't be able to pit together. The BMW site has split paddocks of asphalt (for tire changers) and gravel (for everyone else). Same kinda deal applies with meeting up. Doesn't mean we can't still put up a tent and all hang around. If you want any competition at all the tire class is your best bet. First On Race Day The garage: 1968 Mustang Coupe (Project Trans-Am era-spec racecar) 2006 Mazda3 hatch |

RE: Who's going to this
I said that people from Clemson can meet me in Easley when I leave so we can all drive together. I haven't heard much in response though.
I usually only look at raw times and pax times anyway. I am not concerned. I just need to get the new suspension in check. I will probably get the car aligned after the event as well. I have changed suspension 3 times, and took the steering rack out of the car and rebuilt it, all since the last time I actually got an alignment. I guess it is time, lol ![]() RE-11's "Off the shelf" suspension DIYPNP megasquirt Exhaust + Launch Control = GOOOOOD http://www.DDMWorks.com |

RE: Who's going to this
Steve, if you meet up at gate for Michelin event you can pit together. Also, if you specifically wrote Nick Hallman and asked if you could have an area where 5-10 cars are together as CSCC, I am SURE he would allow it.
For BMW event, we will not be on that parking lot this year. We will be on the one on the right as you enter main entrance. Parking will be in lot on left and you can park however you like. I'm glad you guys are doing this. It's the difference of being in the club and representing the club. Let's people know you are CSCC and have members and are active. It's been that way in the past and we've had a few years where the group from Clemson brought home some wood... (that's racer slang for trophies ... not what you're thinking Ryan.) ; )

I wish that I was, but my folks are coming up for the game and I only see them on game weekends in the fall since I never go "home"

RE: Who's going to this
Is there somewhere we can meet just outside the event? I've never been so I don't know of any good places to meet closer to the event, but IMO it would be easier for everyone to meet there early and go in together. I don't have the cash to drive up there and run, but I'm going to tag along and watch the tent and maybe grab a few rides.

RE: Who's going to this
To get there, it is fastest to go through easley to get to 85, which is why we usually meet there. The roads are really empty so it isn't like we are going to get separated on the way there. Once I am on my way I am going to get all of the way in. As I said you have to sign the paperwork to get in and it takes time. If you get there late you wait in line. Then you have to check in at registration and get your car teched. Also with how long the course is one walk through is usually 15 minutes.
