Mountain driving video
So last weekend I did drive through the mountains on HW28. I got it on video and posted it up. Mainly for another forum as well so you can ignore the music. So here is the driving everyone missed. Hopefully we can get a group out there soon enough.

RE: Mountain driving video
Tune, especially the warmup enrichment is rich. Even on the stock computer I only got 26-27.

Man... You must have a lead foot. I get 28-31 on mine, even in stop and go commuter traffic.

RE: Mountain driving video
you have a 1.8 right? 1.6's get over 30 but the 1.8's usually only get 26-27. Mine is only rated at 26 on the highway.

RE: Mountain driving video
Yep bone stock 1.8. My best is 32, worst of ~26.5 when I was romping on it for the entire tank (autocross and mountain runs). Who knows. I can pull 28mpg out of the Rustang on freeways as well, so maybe I just have hypermiler tendencies.

the Z gets about 16mpg city. It's miserable, but I can get about 22 highway. Definitely geared for cruising.

RE: Mountain driving video
I could tune it better, but I never drive the car except for autocrosses, and the occasional friday for work. I tuned for drivability and power. Didn't really car about MPG's

In the 2 on that mountain run I get about 26 in the mountains it is great. I got 34 for the entire trip.
