2011 Petit Le Mans
I'm going... anyone else? Not sure of my schedule, last year I stayed with a buddy in the ATL Friday night and then drove there Saturday morning, but I have a cousin flying in to come with me this time around. Race is Saturday, October 1.

Caravan?
Camping?
Tailgating?

Discuss.

I'll be getting there sometime Friday. If someone could bring some tailgating equipment (I couldn't fit much in the Boxster Lol ) we should definitely have a CSCC tailgate or something, I think I know a couple of other CSCC people going.

I'm with Robbie, it'd be great to have a CSCC tent out there. Maybe we can get the banner or something. I wish i was going, but i have a previous engagement. Let us know if ya'll need any CSCC stuff to represent.

I call BS - that thing should carry alot with those 2 trunks. I've seen the Porsche commercial where the guy with the Cayman carries a buncha concrete bags in his car Lol Wink Angry

Wish I was close enough to make this one - Petit is a GREAT time. Worth spending on imho. And camping at the track = winning!

PS, camping spots are $50, parking passes are also $50.

i'd recommend getting there middle of the week if you want a premium spot.
if you show up Friday or Saturday, you probably won't be able to see the track (or be that close to it).

Let's just say that any grille I could fit in it would be able to cook for about 2 people at a time Tongue

Perhaps, if we can set up a CSCC group, we can all chip in to get one camping spot, and everyone else parks outside. I would only be able to camp out Friday night anyway. I had trouble getting out of the outside parking lot last time, though. All the exits had turned into parking spaces and I had to take a ditch at its shallowest at an angle.

RE: 2011 Petit Le Mans
Infield parking is worth it if you're already spending money on the regular ticket, gas, and all that. Driving around the infield ALL DAY sure beats walking around it.

RE: 2011 Petit Le Mans
It's like 2x the cost if you're parking infield... I walked last time and it was nice, plenty of things in the infield to distract you on your walk.

RE: 2011 Petit Le Mans
For those who don't know it is Sept. 28-Oct. 1

I hope to make it!! Haven't made it to a Petit in 3 years, but I will never forget the first time I went, it was sooooo much fun. The F430's gave me goosebumps for hours, which is more than I can say about my girlfriend haha

RE: 2011 Petit Le Mans
And this time around they'll be running 458s... They look and sound so much better. My favorite part was getting to the point where you could identify the cars driving by by the way they sound.

RE: 2011 Petit Le Mans
I'll be there on Saturday. Considering I'm already paying for 2 tickets at $60 per ticket, the extra 40 or whatever price it was is a little too much. I def. suggest getting there early on saturday; as in between 9 and 10 at the latest or you'll be in traffic for a long while.
