Meeting Minutes 8/31/11

We had a great turnout for the first meeting of the year!! We had a little over fifty new and old faces. By the end of the meeting we had twenty new members sign up!

If you missed this meeting, no worries, there will be plenty more!

There was a basic introduction of the club, the officers, and what we do.
A few select Youtube videos made it up on the screen to show some autocross to those who had never seen it before.

Next Wednesday will be our first dinner meet, location still tbd. If you don't have a way to get there, post up on the forums or pm one of the officers and we can get rides to those on campus.

Sunday(9/11) will be our cookout at the Campus Beach from 2-7pm. All officers will be there the whole time so drop in and have a good time! Remember to bring your swim suits if you want to swim, we might also have a boat or two out there if anyone would like take a ride.

Following the business part of the meeting was our first round of TRIVIA!!
Steve stumped just about everyone with his first assortment of car questions. By the end of the round we had a tie, Michael Reitz and Tyler Zellmer both got 8 of 10 right. After several failed rounds of tie breakers it was decided that Michael would walk away with the free autocross for this meeting. With that said, let it be known that there still remains the $30 for whoever can get a perfect score! That means you have to come to the other meetings to have a shot at the pot!
