Ride to September 3-4th Roebling Road NASA event
Im moving into Clemson next week, and super excited to start out with school and racing. Barring any conflict with school, I was thinking about volunteering at the September 3-4th Roebling Road HPDE event just to get involved with the club before I got a car. I could borrow a car to get down there, but was wondering if any NASA people on here would be heading down, and if I could bum a ride from the school? I've never volunteered with NASA before, but have been interested in helping with tech, scoring, and such.

That's a pretty long trip from Clemson, not sure if you'll have much luck. I know I'm not going. You should be able to find someone in October for CMP though, Clemson usually has a good crowd to travel there.

Roebling is doable for a weekend trip - did MANY of those "back in the day". Don't be a weenie Wink

I'd also try on the NASA site, might find a Greenville area person that's going that you could tag along with. Plus some of the officials that were CSCC people read there alot more often and some may not read over here Smile

I'm not going to Roebling for...other reasons. Also, it's farther from Mooresville than it is from Clemson Tongue

I'm seeing 5:00 for Mooresville versus 4:45 from Clemson on Google Maps. Wink jus' sayin' If you're out of class at a decent time on Friday that's no sweat at all to make Smile

Sure beats the 5:30 I face for the Dallas area tracks I go to sometimes, or the 10hr haul to Oklahoma for an in region race. Ugh.

Not to knock racing at all, and I don't know if you're from the area and have been to a game before or not, but I know I'll never forget my first Clemson football game. First game of the season is special, too. Versus Troy at 3:30 on the 3rd.

You won't regret it. We'll make up for it anyhow.
Edit: has there been/will there ever be/can we start a CSCC tailgate?
