I'm a new guyyyy
Hey all!
My name is Josh Rinker and I am a sophomore Mechanical Engineering major here at Clemson. I'm very much a car guy and love pretty much kind of motorsport. My car is a 1989 Honda Accord LX (sedan) that is my pride and joy. I'll post up some pictures of it when I can. Looking to an exciting time with you guys this year! Josh |

Thanks for the welcomes! And yeah I plan to give my car a go at autocross, she may not have to much power but she's super nimble and quick!

If I've learned anything from autocrossing it's that power doesn't really mean all that much. There are loads of cars out there with way less power than mine that will do circles around me. Is your car a stick?

Welcome! Seeing as two of the most competitive cars at out events are a Neon and Miata, you'll do fine without a V8 or twin turbo I6 or whatever else you could have

Hell yeah it's a stick! lol I have the stock A20A1 engine in it (carbureted) with around 215000 miles and a 5-spd tranny, as well as some K&N Hi-Flo filters so I estimate around 120hp
My parents bought it brand new in 1988 and have had it since until I got it from them, almost everything is original save for typical maintenance things I she drives like a dream! |

K&N won't get you 22 hp on a 20+ year old 2.0L.

Those things are so anemic, even the smallest bit of improvement is impressive. The problem is that the intake rig on the filter is limited to about the size of a pair of quarters.
