RE: FAST 90 intake
Don't they get a little extra room with those scoops? I have the clean hood.

I have the clean hood. The middle of the hood is still the same, the scoops might give more room right under there but the middle of the hood is still the same shape as yours and that's where the intake is...but would have to search to know for sure. They are taller than the 90/92s but maybe they are that much taller to have issues. Heck, most of the stuff I have been dealing with has been conversions, ie LSx motors into Jeeps and old trucks/cars so there is a little more room in most places. http://www.herronperformance.com 71 Chevy P/U LWB with 6.0/4L80e |

RE: FAST 90 intake
I'll put in my two cents for a gentleman that posts alot on LS1gto when it comes to a full set of fitted together heads and cams. Everything I have read about the guy is great. he has helped members out after valve spring failure etc... http://flowtechinduction.com/
He will grind you a cam and match the heads to it... 2010 Chevy Silverado 5.3l Crew Cab. 2012 Mustang V6 Missed but not forgotten: 2006 350z Track. 1987 Porsche 944S. 1994 Geo Prizm. |

RE: FAST 90 intake
See here's my question. My 5.3 in the truck, just what can I do to it? Is a tune really worth it?
I'd love heads/cam to it, but that just seems silly when I'll be building a v8 locost in two years... 2010 Chevy Silverado 5.3l Crew Cab. 2012 Mustang V6 Missed but not forgotten: 2006 350z Track. 1987 Porsche 944S. 1994 Geo Prizm. |

CAI, Headers, catbacks, whatever, its all out there, just let me know if interested. And a tune is worth it if you want more power and better MPGs. There is HP/TQ to be had for sure!! Just let me know! http://www.herronperformance.com 71 Chevy P/U LWB with 6.0/4L80e |

RE: FAST 90 intake
Give me a month or three and I'll contact you about a tune. I get 15.6 mpg mixed, 18 mpg highway, well I did until I put a bug sheild on.
Now I get 14 mixed, 16 or 17 highway... (I got 11.6 towing the mustang here at 85 miles an hour...) whats the best bang for the buck? cam? I will probably do an MBRP exhaust (300 bucks for the catback) and have the 4 cyl deactivation removed... 2010 Chevy Silverado 5.3l Crew Cab. 2012 Mustang V6 Missed but not forgotten: 2006 350z Track. 1987 Porsche 944S. 1994 Geo Prizm. |
