Well I couldn't find another project car, so I bought this???
Well I had a build thread started on here, but I figured i am 5 hours from home and don't have all my tools or lifts, so I would just buy something. So, I bought this off my neighbor. Its a 1993 NSX he had with 7,400 miles. I put about 400 miles on it last weekend. The car is honestly pretty slow, but I didn't buy it to go fast. Currently all it has is some dealer installed headers from back in 93. I plan on doing a few things to it at the end of this summer, but nothing major. This my first Honda, and I used to LOL at people who talked about VTEC, but I believe in it now. You can feel VTEC kick in (yo). I will probably be more active on campus next year, and bring it around. Also, if anyone has an S2000 Steering wheel laying around, or any wheels 17/18 or 18/19 for an s2000 let me know.

I only have the NSX. That's jordon's lotus parked beside me. My daily is a Saab 9-3. I used to have the orange GTI

Nice NSX. I love how wide they look from the rear! Those things are not too quick stock but those motors love boost. Single turbo build maybe?

You should def autocross it before starting on the build...

I would do a build if i could get one with higher miles. Kind of don't want to tear this one apart. I have an ad up on NSX prime looking to trade for a newer NSX with higher miles for mine

I didn't have to pay that much for it considering. I bought it off my neighbor back home, who is an old family friend and the original owner. Can't give a number but it was a little more than what a new GTI comparable to my old one would have cost me. Insurance was crazy, so I was forced to use collector's car insurance that limits the mileage i can do per year, but they gave it a value of 45k.

Higher mileage early NSXs can be had for under 30, or under 25 if you're patient, so maybe that'll give you an idea Tyler.

Yeah, I found a few in the teens when i was looking with a little over 100k miles, but most of them were ragged out. I think I got pretty lucky with the mileage situation and should have a good solid car. I bought it and only got to check it out for 2 days before i had to come back to clemson. I ordered a timing belt, and water pump for it. Also, I have been talking with the guys from ADV.1 about getting a set of wheels, but at this point after buying the car, summer tuition, and maintenance parts, it will be a while before I do any serious modding...

Its fun to do bad things...

That's dropping the engine out and $1500 at a dealer isn't it? Yikes.

I'll give you a 1984 porsche, a 1993 300zx, a 1981 Celica (after I put seats, the door cards, new Carb, shocks, springs and mounts in it), and a 14ft sailboat(with sailing lessons) for it.

nice find! crazy to find one that low mileage. since it's getting close to 10 years old, might want to start thinking about doing a timing belt due to just time, not mileage. i know most timing belts are in the 10years/100k miles range recommended replacement since the rubber breaks down. not a fan of the wheels that are on it but i see you are looking to fix that.

nah, we gotta keep the mustang, and we need a truck, and my mom's car is worth more, and I can wait if I have to give up my Z. But everything else!

Yeah, the parts alone are going to run about $680 (timing belt, water pump, cam plugs, gaskets) and Labor has varied between $600 and $1000. I will most likely do it myself, I did read the DIY and the motor can stay in, but it has to tilt. I also have ZERO experience with timing belts in a Honda, but it doesn't seem too bad

Haha, I have seen the porsche. It looks good. I had to clean out everything I owned to get this car. Sold my 95 F150, Pontoon Boat, and Wrecked my VW, and the pennies left over from selling my RX-7. I did manage to hold onto my Saab as a daily, and I still have the Ducati
