RE: scca auto cross
I'll be going to this. I was at the CCR CMP event yesterday and it was well worth the drive. 3rd gear in two places.

If anyone wants to do the myrtle beach ones, you don't scare girls away, and don't steal stuff. you can stay at my house. I can sleep up to 5 people comfortably, more people if you can handle a couch. we have a full garage with 2 lifts to get ready pre-race. Plus its the beach, you can make it a vacation. We could hit up the dollhouse and the boulevard and tear up the town. Its fun to do bad things... |

RE: scca auto cross
I did the SCCA event at MB mall yesterday and had a great time. I was in F Stock against 3 other Mustangs and 2 were on R-comps, so naturally they won
I was only 1 sec behind them though. I also spent a good chunk of my day hanging around a fella that had a 1987 RX-7 with an LT-1 swap. It was stooopid fast in a straight line (needs a little stiffer springs and sway bars) and I really want something that overpowered now.......The event did have a pair of ideas I may steal for our events:1. They had a large screen TV hooked to the results for people to see their times so they didn't have to bug the people running timing. I may want to look into that to preserve Nate's sanity ![]() 2. They did what they called a fastest shootout at the end before fun runs and it only took around 25 minutes to do. They took the top 12 PAX times and did a 3 round elimination to declare a winner. (All 12 run, then the fastest 6, and finally the fastest 3). I don't want our club events to get too serious, but I think this is a cool idea because it allows the fastest cars a chance to see how they really stack up against each other. I'd like to bring it in with with the top 12 fastest raw times and have free autocrosses as a prize to the winner.

At the Charleston event a few weeks ago they did the top 12 pax thing, which was tons of fun to compete in. The key thing that makes it so special is that it puts the fastest drivers against each other by using the pax system. I would love to see this at clemson events, which I can see wouldn't be so simple since NASA-X rules don't have a pax factor. The only issue i would have is that doing it by the fastest time would not necessarily take out the car factor and do apples to apples for the top drivers. ![]() 2010 Mk6 Gti... No it's not a DSG

RE: scca auto cross
taking CC1 to an scca event may be difficult considering the car is in the garage, and andrew went to NJ. If you guys do decide to go, I can try to get in contact with Ben and get the other key to the garage.
