So this is a long time coming, but some of us jokingly said we should do the annual 24 hour race at Victory Lane Karting in Charlotte. Well joking turned to action. We have a team of 8 registered. Team members are:

Kat Karns
Kellan Heatley
Thomas Heatley
Zach Gobeille
Rick Gobeille
Chris Mixon
Zack Livingston

More information as we get closer. We plan on doing a Live-blog during the day(s) before and following through to checker and results. Also, look for us on SpeedTV.com.

One thing I've learned with endurance racing - just make laps. Pushing for a tenth or three isn't worth it if it causes something to break, or a spin, or a penalty, or whatnot - you'll lose more than you gain as you're stuck in the pits or out on course. Smile

damn, make sure to have adequate gear, padding, liquids, IV, etc.

you all will be wrecked afterwards.

if you have a real job to get to Monday morning, or something else important.
expect to be dead to the world if you can actually wake up and physically move.

Open invitation: We'll be out there practicing all day saturday. I'm getting there at noon. It'd be cool to have a few CSCCers out there with us.

Ill be packing my shit into a POds in Texas on Saturday. But maybe later. My dad loves it and I've done it once or twice. But at 6ft 3in and 330 lbs, I struggle to keep up momentum in those carts. (I also struggle to fit in the god damn things....)

Too busy for a live blog. We're getting our asses handed to us. 1/4 of the way in and a bout 50 laps down from thew leader. Pro drivers are fast and this event is much bigger than we anticipated. More later
