RE: 15" wheels for CC1
So, did some HW today. The diagnosis is: The wheels will fit. BUT not properly. The hub bore is too big, and it looks like the actual lug pattern of CC1 is 4x110. The bolts are pushed to the outer edges of the lug holes in the wheels, and a dial caliper set to 4x110 lines up nicely center to center. The offset looks fine, and while static even the huge tires fit(fill) the wheel well.

RE: 15" wheels for CC1
the hub part is easy - centering rings

Not sure what to do about the bolt pattern...

As long as the hub is larger it is fine. You don't need centering rings. I have never used them. For the bolt spacing, I would not run the wheels if the spacing is wrong. I still say to get a set of steelies. We went through this with Satan's wankel, and there are no factory 15" wheels with the same bolt pattern.

RE: 15" wheels for CC1
Yeah hubcentric rings would be important if this car was on the road but shouldn't be a problem for the autocross course...

RE: 15" wheels for CC1
but i'd prefer it have the correct bolt pattern. the lug bolts not seated properly would not be safe. mustang stuff is 4x108, this appears to be 4x110. looks like we need to save a little bit and buy some cheapie aftermarket rims to get the size we want.

RE: 15" wheels for CC1
Maybe it is 4x110 but both Carpenter and Casavant have told me that the bolt pattern for the car is 4x108. I still think Zach's idea of just getting the steel wheels is probably are best and cheapest bet unless we are sure it is 4x110 and can find a used set that fits for cheaper.

RE: 15" wheels for CC1
google reveals Rx7club's answer to this mystery (second post): http://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?p=6874237

Quote:Have you read the FAQS yet? All 1st gen 7s are 4X110, except the GSL-SEs which are 4X114.3.

The dedicated forum plus the fact that actual 4x108 rims fit funny would lead me to believe 4x110. I'm sure it's been done with wobble bolts, but that seems sketchy to me.

RE: 15" wheels for CC1
Every time i googled something i found the same as you but i'm just going off what i was told by them and when we are doing thing we definitely need it to be done right like you said and we should not have wobble bolts. These do need to fit right.

I'm not an officer anymore so I can't make that decision but I think someone should at least bid on them. Thats a good price for a set of very light wheels!

RE: 15" wheels for CC1
The add says it does not fit the gsle version of the rx-7 and that is what I thought we have. So they wouldn't work for our car.
