Infiniti G35 Sedan | 2JZ-GTE | R154 Build
Seems like forever ago that we started this project.......... But it's almost done...

We started this build a while back for a good customer of ours. The original VQ35 was boosted, but failed just over 400 whp. While we were building the car, goals and situations changed, and the car was sold to another customer. The new owner plans to drift the car. Over the last 3 weeks, we re-started the build.

We started the car tonight, and we plan to have it on the dyno over the weekend.

Can you guys order CCW's direct, or are they coming from another dealer? They look good on everything, I absolutely will have a set(s) someday.

We order directly from CCW. We actually changed the order from Classics to LM-5's, but they'll be awesome anyways.

N00b question from someone who doesn't know a lot about boost, but the turbo inlets aren't usually left open like that, are they? They have to have some kind of filter in front of them, right?

I'm talking really basic here but does air flow go through like a regular air box with the filter in it and that bolts onto the turbo inlet? I get how turbos and intercoolers work, but I think maybe you're beginning to understand how much I know about how turbo systems are actually set up.

On stock setups, the intake charge is filtered through an airbox, and then into the turbo inlet.

Most aftermarket setup eliminate the MAF, and flow through a filter, somtimes with an intake tube, and into the turbo inlet.

These came today:

Dan at CCW made magic happen as usual. The order was placed on Monday, and the wheels were made, shipped overnight, and arrived to us this morning.

These are the CCW LM-5. They are 11" Front and 12" Rear.

Here is the owner of the car, Austin, with the CCW's:

Generally, I'm not a fan of the "HellaFlush" look, but I think it's going to suit this car. 225/40/18 F and 245/40/18 R Tires.

sweet a wheel that is 11" lip to lip.

psst, means they are more than likely 10.5" wide wheels.

$600-700 per wheel, and then a $99 tire?

Why so cynical? Can you post pics of your CCW setup?

Customer requested the Nexen tires. They'll be drifted, and replaced often. This is the third car that we've built for this customer, and trust me, he can use any part that he chooses.

Not trying.... we did.

I hate the whole Hellaflush, stretched tire look, but it's not my car. I do think that it sorta fits this car.
