2JZ-GE - NA-T - AEM V2 Pump Gas Dyno Tune
This Supra belongs to Duke from Spartanburg, SC. He bought the Supra with the turbo kit and fuel system already installed, but with NO engine management. The car ran really bad, would not idle, and could not get into boost. Sorry for the bad cell phone pics. Our good camera had a dead battery.
We installed a new AEM V2 EMS, along with an AEM Coolant temp sensor, IAT sensor, and MAP sensor. ![]() ![]() Here is the setup: Stock 2JZ-GE Stock Auto Trans Tubular T3 Manifold Turbo Smart 38mm Wastegate Turbonetics Turbo (specs unknown) Tial BOV 3" Downpipe 3" Exhaust Custom Intake Manifold Q45 Throttle Body Here is the chart on 14 and 17 PSI:

Wow I've never seen a torque curve pretty much exactly match the hp curve like that. Good stuff. Why is the chart so wavy up top? By-product of the auto tranny?

Yep, a combination of the stock torque converter and boost fluctuating. We hit 375whp at one point but the stock converter couldn't take it so we backed it to what you see here. You mean you can't slap on a huge turbo and bigger injectors and have it purr like a kitten?
Edit: JB didn't catch my sarcasm earlier, totally jk here as well

But really, you can't slap on a big rig turbo and 4 inch exhaust and have a monster of a car that also dd's just fine?

Actually, there is no reason a 9sec car (import or domestic) can't DD just fine..................................... assuming the supporting mods are there.

RE: 2JZ-GE - NA-T - AEM V2 Pump Gas Dyno Tune
It needs tuning, that's what i was getting at. Guess I wasn't plain enough in my joke... It's so hard to make jokes online. Just like a cam swap in a big V8, it won't idle worth a hoot without some fuel tweaks, some timing changes, some of this and that... You can dd a car with a huge cam but you won't leave the driveway without a tune. They have a huge cam called the mega death... Literally won't start without a tune. I don't really know what would make a halfway turbo job not run but "The car ran really bad, would not idle, and could not get into boost." doesn't surprise me at all.
