HPDE Driver checking out the Autocross Scene
Found this group looking for a HPDE event at Roebling Road. I am a HPDE driver, instructed for a program called Supercar Sensations which let people drive supercars on a autocross course in the parking lot of the Zmax Drag Way. SO other than that and the BMW performance center hybrid autocross/ road course, I am new to the autocross scene. Excited about the April 2nd event, hope to meet some more car Junkies who also like HPDE.

I am 20 years old and I drive a Red 318is e30 and I wish to get into Spec e30 racing someday

See You guys April 2nd Wink

No. Its the older boxy model bmw 3 series before the transition to the new at the time e36 stream lined cars. Not fast at all but tossable, loud, torqy and tons of fun!

There's a red 318 E30 that's been running around for a couple of years with some body kit on it.

Ok sorry about that. I miss understood what you were saying. Hmmmm Now I am interested. No I just got the car about a little over a year ago. No body kits or any of that. Now I did paint the back spoiler black and the front Valance (sp?) is supposed to be the color of the car, however the old owner painted it black.

Other than that nothing has been done.

What kind of car do you drive, and are you going to the autocross?

I've got a white EP3 Civic (2005 Civic Si hatchback). I always go to the autocrosses, I help run them Wink

Nice. I love how they look. However just the hatchback look gives me this feeling that the car understeers like a cat on a wooden floor. So I will see you at the event.

Oh yes I know Dave Markert. He was doing a e30 engine swap when I went by there to look at some of his parts. Nice guy. The Club has its own car? Wow... thats top notch. What is it? Or is it the car in the banner?

RE: HPDE Driver checking out the Autocross Scene
Ha, I wish the GT3 on the top of the page was our club car lolz. Probably would have bankrupted us the first tire change...

We have a 1987 (I think thats the right year?) RX-7. We call it the CC1. Its a really fun car, not the best looking but it runs and handles extremely well. It is usually in the top 15 for raw times...

And welcome! Hope to see you out at the next autocross Smile

RE: HPDE Driver checking out the Autocross Scene
It has orange accents but the car is white. We have thought about doing Lemons but we haven't been able to financially back it up thus far. While the car isn't expensive, the entry fees are steep for poor college folks Smile

Heres a picture of CC1
