Personally would prefer to find a Ruger... Shot a lot of rounds through those and just love em...

though I'll probably go handgun first. I have a Beeman Pellet rifle for da squirrelz...

Need to get a HD Shotgun. Mostly for the deer... (Also been invited to go duck hunting this year.)

HD, deer, and duck hunting are all very different. Yes, you can do them all with a shotgun, but not necessarily the same one. Of course, you could get an 870 with different barrels. 18" for HD, 26" for ducks, and a 24-26" rifled barrel for slugs with deer.

I bought this gun for $150 out the door at Dicks. Stefan's right they can be found new for very cheap...
