RE: Results- 2.19.2011
If I had a decent, non-dryrotted all-season from five years ago set of tires on my M3, I could've taken off a good bit of time. Add coilovers and new bushings to that and I could be a contender for D class.
Oh well, still had a ton of fun. Nice to be back to autocrossing after a eight month break.

RE: Results- 2.19.2011
As soon as I left the autox, I went to the women's club lacrosse game, and there was an F430 parked there. I found the owner and told him there was an autocross down the road and he got pissed at me. He said he doesn't do that shit and that shit's for kids. His wife said he couldn't drive because he was injured. That would have been pretty cool... Typical Ferrari owner though?
I had a great time on Saturday seeing all the different cars run and how everyone has to handle their own vehicle a little differently- the understeer/oversteer transition for the big cars, the gearshifts for the slushbox guys... I can't wait for the next autox. Hi. I like V8s. Everyone knows blue cars are the fastest.

Yes it does but when you flip the switch for that it mellows out the gear changes to make everything smoother so that you can't lose traction as easy on snow, ice, etc. But I can just put the gear shift in 2nd or so and it will only use 1st and 2nd. Even that isn't so great sometimes though because I can't keep it from upshifting when I let off. The old Autox track in C3 I could just lock it in 1st and it was good to go but I had to use a little 2nd gear for this track. ![]() _______________________________________________________________ 1989 535: AutoX/Beater for now, boost coming... 1991 M5: New DD |

CC1 is such a fun car. One of these days we need to set FTD in it.

RE: Results- 2.19.2011
I didn't even know it was leaking. We do know that CC1 does have a slow break fluid leak from one of the calipers.

RE: Results- 2.19.2011
This was A LOT of fluid though. Someone told me it was coolant, but when I touched the liquid it was greasy with no smell. I was thinking brake fluid but it was excessive for brake fluid.

Yeah Tyler was second to someone. TJ in Elvira I think.
And the fluid from CC1 was coolant that boiled over. The big puddle was right under where it boils over (before the car rolled a bit...reeeally need to fix the e-brake). ![]() Joy...is not trying to pan a fast moving object at dusk with a point-and shoot... |
