Hello world
Mr.Rauq here, sophomore mechanical engineering student, muscle-ish car guy, swimmer... Name's Michael, and my 04 Pontiac GTO is my baby. A bit faster in a straight line than in the curvies, but what can you do. It's a great road trip car, except for that micro-sized trunk. You might have heard me driving around campus, exhaust is cutouts followed by glasspacks. They stay open probably 75% of the time, so it's essentially muffler-free. That LS1 sounds great...
I'm hoping to do cam/headers over the summer, looking for 400-ish to the rear wheels. It'll be basically straight piped with the cutouts open at that point. Even faster in a straight line, no faster in the curvies. I need some real tires out back, those 245s are already small enough. Suspension is out there in the future at some point... I'm looking to join the club soon too. 1/2 price autox sounds nice. Say hi Hi. I like V8s. It's a sleeper.Everyone knows blue cars are the fastest. CSCC Prez 2012-13 (or til the end of the world) |

RE: Hello world
Is yours the silver one? Glad you made it on the site and hope to see ya out to our autocrosses. But if the turns aren't really your thing then you should enjoy the trips to Commerce dragway we do every once in a while. Just stinks they don't open until March

I'd love to make it out to the strip, that's where I belong. Is there a way that I can join the club online? I want to do that before I register for the autox. Hi. I like V8s. RE: Hello world
PM'ed
![]() Nice, I like the blue a lot more than the silver! I have just seen a silver one riding around with some pretty loud exhaust...didn't sound like a cutout though, just catback or something. It will be interesting to see what your car sounds like compared to another member's LS1 Camaro with a cut-out, except he has longtubes, mild-cam and a tune. He should be at the autocross this weekend... ![]() Clemson '11 |

I felt like a car that loud should have been faster, but running novice class in a car that can't turn, what can you do? I liked seeing my times drop each run and I hope I can do the same this weekend. By the way, what kind of vehicles can't run? I've been hearing about the Jeep SRT8- that'll be wicked- but can other big vehicles run? I have a friend with an F150 and I've made passing jokes about him running. Pretty sure that's a no go though. Hi. I like V8s. It's a sleeper.Everyone knows blue cars are the fastest. CSCC Prez 2012-13 (or til the end of the world) |

Glad to have someone else that loves V8's like I do As for your friend, it's sort of discretionary about what can go. If he has lowered it, we'd LOVE to have him out. If it's stock, it'll be just too risky for him to roll or push really wide and hit something. You have to come see Chris in the Jeep.......it's epic
