Newbie to the board.
Hello, everyone!
Just joined the board after seeing the CSCC mentioned over on bimmerforums.com and thought I'd drop in and see what the deal is. I'm up in Greenville but make trips down to Clemson from time to time to see some buddies in the area and tinker with my car/the girlfriend's car a bit. Had no idea that the car scene was this big down here so I'm pretty excited to see all of this car talk. I look forward to potentially meeting some of you and hitting up some of the events that go on in the area! -Tony |

RE: Newbie to the board.
Welcome. Our first Autocross is on the 30th of this month (tentatively of course). You should check it out, especially if we get the massive course we're hoping for.

RE: Newbie to the board.
Is it going to be down in Clemson or elsewhere? I'll definitely head down and check it out if it's local. I haven't been to a Clemson auto-x since I was in high school.

Glad you could make it by and good to see more bimmer owners on the site ![]() We just made a prospective autocross schedule. We have not set everything up with the university yet but it shouldn't be a problem. Hope to see you out at one! ![]() Clemson '11 |

RE: Newbie to the board.
Yep! Sure did. I've seen at least one bf.c member who's also a member here (91redfox, Stefan) so I just googled it when the other guy mentioned the club.
How are you liking your E92? I've driven a couple and enjoyed them thoroughly. |

RE: Newbie to the board.
Welcome to the forum Tony. You'll find that we have quite a few people with bimmers here in CSCC.
I'm on bf.c too though I don't post that often on there (pony2bmw). I have an E30 that I drive back and forth between Greer and Clemson every day. I should be getting a DD soon so I can officially dedicate my E30 to the track. |

RE: Newbie to the board.
E30's make great track rats. Gonna do a 24V swap or stick with an M20?
Greer to Clemson is one helluva drive...that's even worse than I do. |

RE: Newbie to the board.
I'm keeping my M20... I'd like to eventually race Spec E30 with NASA so it's gotta stay
The car is already set up with the spec suspension, but I'll need to strip it out and cage it before it's ready to race.

RE: Newbie to the board.
Sounds like a blast! If my M wasn't my DD I would be interested in tracking it but unfortunately it needs to stay mostly streetable. =p

A whole lot of nothing at the moment. Waiting on my supercharger to arrive so I can start playing with the big boys! And I see that I got the year of your car wrong...I fail.
How've you been? |

RE: Newbie to the board.
Yeah man. I've wanted to go FI since I got the car and a supercharger is so much easier to install and deal with than a turbo. I think Dave is a little worried, though. He gets to put it on.
What'cha doing down in Charleston? |

RE: Newbie to the board.
Mmmmmm, I love FI and BMW in the same sentence haha. I love how the car drives, if you make it to an autocross be sure to ask for a ride if you want.
I am on Bimmerforums (jb's335) but I don't ever post on there, mostly just lurk. So Tony for us who don't know what do you drive? I'm taking a stab and saying an e46 M3 due to the affinity to supercharging? ![]() Clemson '11 |
