Parking Services Strikes Again
Not sure if anyone's noticed, but the lot we used for most of the autocrosses this semester is now a resident lot. So it's off limits thumbsdown

Yeah, but R1 is now mostly commuter, so it's on limits Tongue

BOOOOOO! Parking Scum! That is dumb, dumb, dumb! Just when things were looking good this semester with the BBall team getting better and extended weekend after the snow. They have to go and do something like this. I think I will hold off paying those parking tickets as long as I can in protest lol!

RE: Parking Services Strikes Again
the multi-tier lot does get old, so I'd be happier I had more of the bigger triangle shaped lot honestly. Smile

we don't use that lot anymore, it has speed bumps also.
i'm pretty sure that i heard that lot (or part of it) is completely disappearing this year.

half of R3 as a triangle really isn't that big and severely restricts course design.

we raced in R1 last time over near the high rises.

RE: Parking Services Strikes Again
You guys are def. better off since the older "Pit" is WAY bigger and open in the areas that you'll now have access to. The issue before was that the area of the pit that would have been a good usable area for an autox, was residential therefore we couldnt use it bc it had to be accessable for residents to use basically all the time.

I'm going to drive through that part today on my way home to see how the lot looks. It could be good.

RE: Parking Services Strikes Again
It was good, we already had an event there in Dec, and it seemed better than R-3 and everyone seemed to like it. Plus paddock doesn't have to be separated by a main road and grid isn't looping through resident vehicles.

RE: Parking Services Strikes Again
Which tier was it in December? Because the whole lot is commuter now, for the most part.

The bottom-most one looks like it's got some room for a longish straight... Yay for the Mustang! Hah.

RE: Parking Services Strikes Again
It was the second from the bottom, with paddock in the lowermost one. FSAE was in the tier just above us at the same time.

RE: Parking Services Strikes Again
Well lets just hope we can secure R-1 when needed. We now have a nice excuse as to why we need it Lol

RE: Parking Services Strikes Again
I thought that either tier of R1 was an excellent location. Where we were made a very safe but open course and I think it'll be fun to use it this semester. Big Grin

RE: Parking Services Strikes Again
The TFT event was awesome from a spectator stand point with kids, LOL
We parked down below the course, kids knew where they could go and not go and did not have to watch out for cars coming and going.
