H22: fully built (pump gas vs 85)
This setup belongs to Adam.

2.4 Stroker
Jun Stage III cams
Undisclosed Compression
RMF Header 2.5" (open headers)
Edelbrock 70mm Throttle Body
Custom Intake Manifold
Tuned on Crome Gold

The blue line is the unaltered Hondata S200 tune it came in on, which was for 93 octane. We then swapped fuels for E85 and tuned it on Crome Gold as seen on the red line.

RE: H22: fully built (pump gas vs 85)
That looks real mean.

Out of curiosity how big are the gains going from 93 octane to E85 on NA applications?

RE: H22: fully built (pump gas vs 85)
This IS an NA application. The owner stated that switching to E85 was the single largest, and oddly enough the cheapest power gain that he's seen. He also claims that fuel mileage is slightly worse than the 93 octane tune. He had well over an hour to drive home, and travel costs were roughly the same on the way home. Well worth the power gains IMO.

RE: H22: fully built (pump gas vs 85)
i realize you changed the compression that was listed.
more compression and pro3's would rock.

i assume this is a street car. what chassis is the motor in?

It's in an EG hatch

Here is a pic from his build thread on Carolina Hondas.

Hood scoop and propped hood? Guy was really going for some heavy cooling...

Those are some incredible gains on just switching fuel. You guys continue to impress with your e85 tuning abilities.

Theyre both to cover his custom intake manifold. It used to stick through the hood, but he added the STI scoop to cover it.

Here is a picture of the manifold, once again, from his thread on Carolian Hondas.

i do like big displacement NA 4 cylinder engines. This one seems really nice. Wish mazda got together with honda to make some good engines.

mazda makes the biggest 4 cylinders in the market (2.3 and 2.5)
there aren't really anything wrong with them, but unfortunately, mazda isn't out to break any hp/liter records.

there have been mazda 3 dragcars with around 300 whp.

the power can be had.
