420a - Hahn Racecraft Turbo Kit - Pump Gas Dyno Tune
This car belongs to Levi. He brought his Eclipse to us after he had rebuilt the engine, and was unable to get the car to start. We determined that the ECU was bad, and Levi opted to have us install a MegaSquirt SnS unit.

Levi's car has been at the shop for quite some time now. We originally installed a MS-II board (the newest version). Despite extreme wire insulating measures, it would loose sync (verified by datalog) randomly. For those who don't know, it means that the tach signal and other sensors would loose signal to the ECU. When that happens in the middle of a WOT run, it literally feels like the car shuts off (usually lasts .1sec) and keeps going like nothing every happened.... A pain to deal with especially when it encounters this several times during a run and obviously not safe or drivable with this symptom. The company who sold the assembled MS-II board swore it was everything but the board itself. Long story short, we sent back the MS-II board several months ago so they can separate two components inside the ECU that can suffer from cross-interference due to how close they are together inside the ECU. Rare, but it does happen. We replaced the board with a MS-I board (with spark control) in the mean time and problem solved. Now Levi is finally able to enjoy his car.

Here is the setup:

That's what we thought too. The customer is very happy with the numbers.
