How many points do you have left before you bump class? Enough for race tires?

Thanks for getting these up so quick Robbie. I was hoping I saved everything correctly since Steve had to take off before the end of the 2nd run group!

Just looked at the rules and from the little I know of Elvira they shouldn't be in E. They should be in C just from tires and suspension, this is from the initial assumption of a 1.6L miata as a base as well.

I don't care too much because I love how close I cn get to TJ sometimes, but if others have an issue I figured I would bring it up. Plus for the sake of correctness.

I also saw that for next year they are taking the cost aspect out of shock design. YAY I get 2 points back.

NASA reclasses based on motor swaps.
a 1.8 miata is TTE, the tires on Elvira are worth 17 pts.
exhaust is 2 point, the suspension is probably 7 points.
minimum total is 26 points.
no longer in E.

I was not trying to start anything and I had a blast, it just struck me as odd for such a far stretch between the 2 cars to be in the same class SmileSmile

RE: Results- 12.11.2010
I have seen some pretty big differences between cars in SCCA classes too. It just happens. This wasn't a points event or anything though and there were no trophies so it's not a terribly big deal. Or it shouldn't be.

Are you talking about Elvira? If so I know where TJ lives, we'll make sure they the class right next time Lol

RE: Results- 12.11.2010
I never really thought about it untill today. I mean I have been 0.3 seconds behind TJ all along so nothing seemed off to me. We just need to have someone give it a good look over before the next event so we know it is classed correctly so for people who are concerned about points things are fair.

Please everyone Know, I just asked out of Curiosity and nothing more, I actually thought I would like to see what A6's on the Civic was like Wink

Sorry to open this discussion, I should have researched classing further before posting any questions.
