RE: Results- 12.11.2010
Lets not all forget that the NASA autoX rules aren't really worked out. They are based off the TT rules with little changes. This is not what it should be but they are working on getting the differances down.
For those who don't know only NASA mid atlantic rules NASA autocrosses becised us. The rules are pretty new as well so lots of bugs are still there. I don't think anyone is pointing fingers or anything because we are all friends. We just need to get it elvira sorted out before the next event and any other classing things we see besides classing errors we can mention to NASA. I know I have mentioned a good number of things to them about the rules already trying to get it improved. I really want to 275 A6's on my miata...... One day. ![]() RE-11's "Off the shelf" suspension DIYPNP megasquirt Exhaust + Launch Control = GOOOOOD http://www.DDMWorks.com |

RE: Results- 12.11.2010
I hope that my earlier post did not in any way seem negative towards NASA or SCCA classing, simply joking around, thus the
I don't care at all what class anyone is in, or if we are all in the same class. It's for fun I am in no way offended by elvira or anyone else (including me)running in a class that they may or may not be properly classed in, and hope that I have not offended anyone by being properly or improperly classed and not knowing it.

RE: Results- 12.11.2010
Thanks to everyone for coming out and I've enjoyed getting these events going for ya'll this semester. I'm co-oping at Electrolux starting in January 10th, but I'm living in Clemson, so I'll continue to do so next semester
As for the classing issues, I trust the word of Ted and TJ and they have been invaluable for CSCC in the past and present. If they say that they are in E, then I believe them. I know that the course may seem to have a "Miata slant" , but consider that TJ, Ted, JD, and Zach are all excellent drivers and that they would be hard to beat if they were in any car. I autocross my 3600 lb Shelby Mustang and do well enough to be happy and have no problem getting whupped by all of them

RE: Results- 12.11.2010
Thanks for the quick results...and thanks to everyone with the club for putting on a good event and giving me an excuse to get out of christmas shopping. It was a blast to get one more event before the "offseason" hits and the car lives in the garage for a few months. It's also nice to come back and see the campus without 85,000 drunk angry football fans every now and then.
Speaking of NASA classes, now I get to blow even more money on the car as I continue my quest to make a wrong wheel drive car nationally competitive in DSP. Perhaps I can find enough new mods to make the jump to "A" class some day? DSP #71 SCCA CCR / SCR Regions My DSP AutoX Build Thread |

RE: Results- 12.11.2010
you guys can help get the ruleset dialed in better if you'll get with Jon that runs NASA-MA's autox program and see what kind of information sharing he needs to tweak things to be more fair to everyone

RE: Results- 12.11.2010
This was the first event I've ever run in using NASA rules, which is why I told registration "whatever" when we signed up. Since then some research into this indicates a 91 Miata is F with 14 points. With the mods to the car, it would have been right at the edge of going into E. In fact, it was simply my lack of faith in my new MS made me put the stock ecu back in for the event. If the MS had been hooked up I think the car would have been E. But then I'm also not sure I've read all that stuff correctly. Zach, are you the NASA rules expert? No real deal, I'm really more curious then anything else.
