Correct! I figure our engines are angled similarly and the engine bay can't have changed THAT much so yeah, I'm pretty confident it will work. The biggest problem will be coming up with new fittings/covering up old ports (I have two of everything now, trying to go to one lol). Also, my wastegates are open at idle... yeah think about that for a little bit. My backwards vacuum system is the part that scares me the most... but I'm not going to be using the factory boost control so it might not matter as much as I think.

These engines are already handling 400whp easy. People in the 500whp range are starting to break ringlands (and these are not on safe tunes, dry nitrous and lots of methanol), so I am betting pistons will be my first purchase before the big turbo.

compression is fairly high in those motors asswell is it not? while you're in there, swap for lower, get the plumbing figured out, and go to town. Go to town in a big ol' hurry too....... yeehaw!

10.1:1 stock compression. The interesting thing is that the first thing people are blowing are ringlands... cylinder pressures FTL. Nobody has even considered a head spacer... or even doubling up a headgasket for that matter! Our block and head are both aluminum so no raised edges are needed on our headgasket so stacking them shouldn't pose any problems... we could run more boost with lower cylinder pressures, WIN!

The dish has to be angled at a determined angle and a certain debth to disperse the directly injected fuel correctly into the cylinder for a proper combustion. Making pistons for my car is kinda hard... but someone has done it. A set of 6 costs a G... I won't be making that purchase for a while (unless I get a banging job out of college, which has about a 1% chance of happening :lolSmile.

I'd drop my car's compression to 6:1 if I could!!!

May the Boost be with us...
