Wolf Ridge Hillclimb
Wow... wild weekend. I jumped on it first few runs as weather was getting ready to turn bad. I ran two less than 2 minute runs on my first twi times up the hill. Closest to me was 2:07 Stan Vann and John finger was at 2:14. I was walking on air and sky was threatening. Blaie Underwood took his DSR Diasio off into the trees... tore up the front pretty bad but he was okay. A headlight came through the windshield and hit him in the face shield.
Lunch time, I thought I had it. The rain came and I was pumped. Then, it stopped... then it started drying out. I ran a 1:58 and then hen Stan ran at 1:57... which put him in fastest time of day. Then John ran a 1:56 to close out saturday. TJ ran a new record for CSP which gives him the triple crown...he now has the record for CSP in all three southeastern hillclimbs. Then, he blew his motor and was done for the weekend. Sunday, we had rain in the morning but it cleared ... we had a dry track by noon. I tried everything I could to lower my time but could not get past 1:58. John bent an A arm and was out, Stan went home early. And..I had two more runs I could make ... unfortunately ran another 1:58 and the electric water pump died.
Great weekend. Lots of fun and beautiful mountain. Next year... maybe? <S>
We'll see.
Ted
P.S. Do this while you are young...I am hurting all over today! <S>

Understeer is when you hit the mountain with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the mountain with the rear of the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the mountain, torque is how far you move the mountain.
