KA24de: Garrett 50 trim - Pump Gas Dyno Tune
This car belongs to Spencer from Raleigh. His KA-T was on the dyno for a Nistune tune.

Here is the setup:

CP Pistons
Eagle Rods
Cometic Head Gasket

Nismo 740cc Injectors
Walbro 255lph Pump
N62 (300zx) MAF

Garrett 50 Trim Turbo t04e .60 compressor and .58 exhaust
Log Manifold
Tial 38mm Wastegate
eBay MBC
Custom Intercooler Piping

OBD1 ECU Swap
Tuned on Nistune

Here is the Chart. Boost was spiking 10 psi, and then quickly loosing boost to between 7.1 - 7.8 psi according to the boost gauge. We really think it was more in the 5-6psi category towards the end of the run. Many boost gauges don't read that accurate below 5 or 6psi. For those who don't know, unlike most map sensor tuning applications, MAF sensor applications generally don't show the boost or vacuum. Instead, they show what our tuner Hubert (a.k.a Spent) refers to "MAF sensor duty cycle" to indicate load. Hence why it's very important to have a boost gauge in a 240 and boosted MAF sensor vehicles in general.

Spencer will be upgrading his boost controller to address this issue and also checking for leaks. His goal was 350whp, and no more than 15psi. I'm sure once he address his boost issue, he'll be at his goal with 10psi.

It just means he needs to get a better boost controller so he can make and hold torque/power all the way to redline. If he can hold steady boost, there would be a flat forque line all the way to red line as well, in addition to making more power.

Not at all. It just means that he eats SRT-4's for breakfast... JK

What kind of IC?

Something seems up, the way power drops off so suddenly.

It spikes to 10psi and then drops almost instantly down to approx. 7psi according to the boost gauge and then down to 5psi based on what I believe. That's why the charts looks the way it does.

I talked to Spence yesturday afternoon. In addition to issues with the MBC, he found an exhaust leak between the head and the exhaust manifold which he will fix before coming back again. I'm sure he'll hit 350 or slightly more on 10psi and have a flat torque all the way to redline if boost holds.
