RE: CSCC Autocross 1.30.2010
CSCC Autocross is listed on events calendar and on News and Results.

I do plan to get pics at the event and do a write up with results on http://www.thesoutherndriver.com

Depends on the power. r is for cars with e weight/HP ratio less than 5.5

most tube frame stuff is straight to unlimited anyway.

Have you guys talked with Jon Felton, the guy that writes the NASA-X rules, for help? I'd be happy to get you guys talking so that you can get the support you need Smile

RE: CSCC Autocross 1.30.2010
Hello, completely new to the forum so apologies if I manage to put my foot in my mouth.

I was wondering if the critical mass of 30 entrants had been obtained for the event to take place next week. If I do manage to come I'll be registering at site next saturday, but wanted to get an idea about what to plan for my schedule.

Previously I've done autocrosses with HSCC, and there I've been allowed to let two drivers share the same car. What I have is a purpose built race car that I've owned for almost two years and have yet to have the opportunity to drive. It's been listed for sale for a while, and I haven't had much interest in it, so I'm going to see if I can wear it out while I've got it. Would it be possible to double stint it with two drivers in one run group? And if so, would it be possible to let two additional drivers, for a total of four, run it in a different run group so that I can get as many miles out of this car as possible? I know that for accurate competitive times that ideally the same class should be running the course at the same time . . . . . but none of my crew are very experienced or serious about getting good times.

Multiple questions in multiple parts.

Thanks, John

Yup, we met that minimum. Should be good to go.

I've run three in my car in one run group with CSCC before (me, my mom, and my dad) - two shouldn't be an issue, though there will be little / no cool-down time between runs

Running the same class in two groups is not a concern here (again, something I've done), so this shouldn't be a problem

Look forward to seeing you there. Can't tell from the avatar - what kind of car is it?

Fogle, I think you just forum spammed my eyes with all of those "sub-quotes". lol It is conceivable for someone to note that you're quoting them to respond and they read the entire response.

We've met the minimum, so we should be good to go. Let's all pray for a very unrainy day like this past wed at the horseshoe.

It is a 1986 Toyota MR2. I "fell" into ownership of it while I was trying to help a friend of mine buy it by partnering with him. I thought that I'd campaign it some at autocrosses and maybe a new owner could see it there. If not at least I'll break it the way intended instead of letting it sit and rot. Last season I took it to a Wednesday night autocross with HSCC, but I got put in a run group after dark (no headlights) and the prospect of wearing myself out and then loading it alone at midnight was more than I wanted to deal with on a work night, so I went home and cried myself to sleep.

I'll hope for a dry day too, as it's on hoosier racing tires and I don't have any rains for it.

Hey John... I know that car...thought I had seen it before in CSP. I run a bit with Highlands... a few night events last year as well.
Be glad to have you with us. If you decide to sell it again, let me know. Might know someone looking.

Hope to see you at the event.

That's fine... I can handle it Smile

Looks like it wont be necessary, as I've figured out what car and class I'll be in.

I can't wait to autocross an Fbody, with power.

Hey, I need to get the parental waiver for all the children who I'm getting signed up. Also, my brother Daniel is good to go for this, he just needs to register. Please get back to me soon on this.
