Joined last night after going to the meeting at tony's. Liked the fact that everyone knew what they were talking about. I've got a 06' mustang with racing stripes and borla exhaust, and soon to come new racing rims, tires, and a tuner. Just spitting out ideas some may be good some may be bad but:

Maybe a pennie, nickel, and dime drage race were you make bets on whos car is faster but you cant bet over $1. It would be a meet and greet and show off and race time.

Get some people that are willing to go to Deals Gap Drive that and come back. it would be a one day thing.

Have a car show type thing were we bring all the cars and show them off, almost like the cookout that yall had early on.

Just somethings that would get people out and doing things.

I know that yall are trying to do yalls best in trying to get an autocross set up. but these are some simple things that dont require their authority. I also like the ideas of doing things for charitys to show that not all car racers are idiots.]]>

We are still looking into a few different lots to hold events, hopefully we will have some more definite answers soon. We know it's taking a long time but it seems we have hit every speed bump possible, please don't give up on us. We WILL find somewhere. Anderson University no longer rents out their lot due to their increased use of the facilities and in the meantime we have received little cooperation from Clemson officials in getting things back on campus. We're working on proposing an autocross/street survival deal with some local schools or churches. There are also a few warehouses nearby that we have some good leads on.

As we are working to get events going again we are going to put together another cookout on the campus beach. The date and time will be announced shortly.

If any of you are looking for somewhere to go during spring break we have a group of members looking into going to an event at the Carrabelle-Thompson airport in Carrabelle, Fl on March 25th. If this works out we will go a few days before to enjoy the beach and leave shortly after the event. Info about the event is at http://www.wannagofast.com. Sandy beaches and a half-mile runway should make for a fun trip!]]>

Then I had to chose whether to keep the car and have it repaired or sell it. There is no rust and I had several suspension modifications done so I chose to have them work on it. It needed new valves and head gaskets.

I didnt trust the old injectors so I had all new ones installed. They are bigger with more flow. I already had a bigger intercooler so I had tdc install a little bigger turbo. Now I am waiting for it all to be completed. It should be fun]]>

Hmmm... I heard Humpy Wheeler speak at a dinner last night. He was the Founder of Charlotte Motorspeedway and pretty famous track promoter for Salt Flats, Indy 500 and NASCAR for many years. He's heavily involved and he has meetings with Bernie in last two months. The required $23Million is available for the F1 rights so Bernie is very agreeable... we'll see.

Humpy was quite a speaker... told a lot of stories from NASCAR and CMS. He stirred up the famous Dale Earnhardt vs Darrell Waltrip fight to create some market interest from the crowd... he told each things the other said....it worked! He also said he is pushing for 2013 NASCAR to consider running in rain on rain tires. He was also the voice of Tex on Pixar movie CARS. Also, I am not sure how to classify the car. I mean, it's not stock -- the straight-six engine came from a '67 Mustang, and it's got a T-5 5-speed manual trans, probably from a later-model foxbody. So it's been modified, but it's not terribly fast. Any help with classification would be appreciated!]]>
