Possible Club Track Day
Hey Y'all,

Over the weekend myself and the officers were talking about doing a club track day next spring out at CMP. We would rent out CMP for a day and provide instructors consisting of (World Challenge Drivers, SCCA Instructors, NASA Instructors, and so on). Our goal is to give y'all the chance to get some cheap quality track time and have fun.

Right now we are just trying to gauge interest in the event because the more people we get who want to do it will mean cheaper entry fees for everyone.

Possibly for me as well, pending if the baby goat is running well. I will not be instructing.

There's a lot of car preparation required to handle a track like CMP... the track surface is very abrasive and destroys tires, and the track is VERY hard on brakes. Race brakes and race fluid are a must, even for first timers.

Race brakes are not a must for CMP. I've run CMP many times on stock pads.

Newer drivers ride the brakes more, and Ron Zappendorf has actually recommended that newer drivers use more aggressive pads compared to experienced drivers.

Race brakes will NOT be required for this event.
I will be posting an official list of what is needed by drivers at a later time.
