CSCC Autocross 3/27/2010 - keegano - 03-03-2010 11:42 PM

CSCC Autocross #6 Saturday, March 27

Registration Minimum of 30 by Friday March 19th!
Due to lower than expected attendance w/ past events, we are setting a minimum of 30 entries to be registered atleast 1 week before the event date (March 19th) for the event to be held.

we will have cones available for sponsoring at this upcoming event. anyone can sponsor a cone and put whatever they want on it, as long as it isn't too vulgar. sponsor one in memoriam for a past car, your favorite race driver, or just yourself. doesn't matter. all we ask is no "cuss words" or distasteful jokes.

stencils and paint will be available for you to use. you can do it yourself and see it day of, or leave it up to us to do. if you leave it to us, you may not see it until next semester depending on how busy we are.

I'll be there, no surprise. Assuming I do well I should be doing well for winning the E class championship due to being at every event.

Even with you beating me I will still have a chance. It would just push everyone down 1 spot so between the rest of us there wouldn't be a change.

I haven't even looked at the points or how you guys are doing it this year, but we all know that FWD > RWD Lol

at least in E class.

CSCC events are fun, but I need to focus on getting seat time and dialing the car in more. I'll have to see what the weather is like. If it's raining I'll probably do the CSCC on the new full tread R1R's if not I might go to ATL and take the SoloPro school and see if Jinx can help me at all or just do the TnT.

All I know is that the times I wasn't 1st it was someone who only came to 1 or 2 autocrosses. Like Rob Summers for example. Either way I just want to get seat time in the miata now that it handles more like it should.

Everyone, I know it's Spring Break but tomorrow is the deadline to meet the minimum and right now we need 15 more people to sign up. If you were planning to attend, register today or tomorrow and get everyone you can to do the same.

I'll be there. I had the car worked on again to fix a boost leak. I only have 1 short tube from the intercooler to the throttle body. The stock one had streched and was leaking. Now the car is much better and I have low end torque again.

haha Vette was just giving me a handful of problems. Forgot i didnt even mention the last chapter...

Dealership decided to finger tighten the torque tube bolts to the bell housing. The drivetrain started bouncing around and the clutch decided to start engaging at random spots and not fully returning. A MESS

Got everything back together and sold it. Dealership said it was 100% but idk.

And the M3 is about 10x more fun to drive than the vette. ha

I havn't snapped any pics yet but here are some of the ones from the FS thread. Bought the car from Wes Bourne (hes the marketing director at Titan Motorsports). Just touring that shop was absolutely amazing. Couple 1000+hp supras, 3-4 600+hp 2JZ swapped SC300s, couple 700+hp Porsches... i could go on.

Car has headers and a tune, springs and some CF here and there. RASPY

A friend of mine from work and his brother ae going to be coming to the event. Reuben and Byron Duren. They are signed up in Reuben's 2.5RS. They sent an email to clemsonsportscarclub email and he is awaiting a responce. He called me and it is basically about how he bought the car with mods and he doesn't know exactly what they are so someone is going to have to look at his car before the event to see what all is done to it. I am pretty familiar with the rules so I should be able to do this. I just want to make sure someone checks the email and someone responds to him.

Also between today and tomorrow I'll know if Satans Wankel should be there, but things should go well and we should be able to make it.

If he hasn't autocrossed much or at all, just put him in Novice. Then he can figure out what mods his car has in time for our fall schedule Smile

I could probably figure out most of the mods on his car if you needed some help since I know what a lot of stock and aftermarket stuff looks like. He'd need to bring the sheet with all the points to add up though.

I just figured out what I am going to do for the course. I basically took the fun parts from past layouts and put them together.

Also can someone remember to buy 8 new AA batteries for the timing system.

In registering my son to race, I screwed up my registration and somehow got in the Novice class in his Acura. They may not like that.

If whoever is handling registration would move me to Class D, Group 3, I would appreciate it. 99 Miata, Number 68, Blue.

Just registered...I am bringing Bandit to shake down the new engine. Don't expect too much. It's a hillclimb car, not an autocross car and I'll be taking it easy ! ( If I blew the new 6 port motor before our first hillclimb, I would be crying.)

I'm trying to stretch these tires through one more track event and then get some new shoes before Wolf Ridge in June.

i'm sure if you picked a weekend in the middle of the summer with massive notice, you could probably achieve a nice turnout.

just find a weekend where CCR, SCR, and ATL aren't having an event.

Once again, great job CSCC! I enjoyed running the timing equipment during much of the first group. It gave me some insight as to how stressful being in aircraft control must be. Great help from Keri and Steve during my shift at the PC.

So, when is the next autocross?
