Thought you guys would find this interesting. I was promised by the managers at Quaker Steak that our room would be quiet enough for the SWCCCR meeting last month. With the sound turned off in the room AND the lobby, it was still too noisy for a meeting. Food and service were great but the noise level was awful.

I wrote the management and told them how disappointed we were and that while we loved the food and atmosphere, the room was NOT suitable for holding a meeting or having a speaker. I told them thanks but we would continue looking for a suitable place to meet.

I had a phone call from a manager/partner in Ohio yesterday. He apologized profusely and THEN... he informed me that he had a contractor designing and building a partition to seal off the room for us and that he was planning on buying a mike and amplifier specifically for our needs. He asked us to come back for the next meeting and if we were not happy, he would comp ALL of our meals. Smile
There's an old saying... "The one that does the squeaking is the one that gets the grease." Lol Lol

I'm setting up the next SWCCCR meeting for October 15th and would like to display the Clemson car out front if we have someone that can bring it!
there is also that old saying "Take care of your customer and they will come back" Sounds like this guy is doing what he needs to do to make sure that his customers (you) are satisfied. Good to hear about companies that care about customer service in this day and age Smile
You may be the first group to complain and it hit them that they can pull in more groups (others may not have returned with no explanation.) if its quiet in there.

i have never been to one, but i know that the GTO group in OHIO loves quaker steak up there.
Ted I would love to go and help the guys with getting the car there, it is a good idea.
Assuming Brian Baeur's truck is fixed by then, we should be able to get it there in some form or fashion.
I'm not sure whether I'll be free that night but let me know a day or two before if you can't get a tow rig assembled.
I LOVE Quaker Steak. Best wings ever. I'll try to make it out and hopefully we can get CC1 there Big Grin And thats pretty cool that they are modifying their building just for the meetings. Thats some good management thumbsup
Ted I'm so glad to hear that! Everything about the meeting was great EXCEPT for not being able to hear, so if they will fix that, I agree that we should go back. It's a fun place for car nerds Wink I should be able to attend the next meeting... I have a very early am flight the next day but was probably going to stay over in G'ville anyway.
Thats awesome, good to have some quality customer service like that.
I know I keep saying I'm going to come to one of these and haven't made it yet (been out of town some here and there, and thursdays sometimes aren't the best days for me), but seriously, I am going to make it out there sometime (hopefully soon).
Maybe I need to go to Las Vegas or...maybe Parking Services before my luck starts to run out! Lol Lol Lol

WIN! Big Grin
That's awesome. I agree with Ted and Keri's comments that it was a great place other than not being able to hear the speaker. The delinquents in the corner where I was could hear about 1/2 of what was said when listening hard and had to guess at the rest. I shouldn't have to teach lab that night (I'll have to check the schedule again) so I should be able to make it.
