Ok, just a last minute thought, but it might be worth trying.
Does anyone have a small tv or flat screen that they would be willing to let us use for the display tomorrow? We'll have power and it would be nice to be able to connect one of our computers with some cool top gear videos or other assorted things to attract some people. Anyone? Or if you know how I can run from a usb on my computer to a std 3 plug (yellow, red, white) video/audio port, let me know.... 803-640-0810
I wouldn't mind leaving my car out there, but I prolly wouldnt make it out until noon (it's a mess and I need to wash it first). Ross I sent you a text (its late)
Well I thought it went pretty good today! How long was that e-mail list?
Thanks Stefan for getting the ball rolling on this, hopefully we can get some genuine interest from it.
Well, we had a lot of interest today! Our email list was almost 3 pages!!!
Thanks to everyone who helped, especially those of you who were out there all day with us.
Thanks to Rob Fogle and Fred Switzer for the use of their cars for the display, you guys are awesome
should have a good turnout for that first few meetings with an email blast or two to the new interested people

i know i was only there for a short time (sorry) but it seemed like there was a lot of genuine interest from a lot of people. I think that this did A LOT better than setting up in the horseshoe (though I still think we should do that...that is how I learned about the club

)
I was very happy to see so many people showing interest in the club today. Yea it was hot and we had to be out there for quite some time. But the response and pages of interested names is more than enough to make up for all of that.
Hopefully we can get some of these guys involved and show them that this club more than anything else is a tool/resourcefor their interests in cars. By this I mean that they can use autocross as a way to get into motorsports, or do the NASA work for track time program, or learn about car tech by talking to people on the forum, or learn about drag racing by hooking up with Shon Herron and Dan Ethridge, or about Hill Climbs by Ted .... The list goes on and on. It half way occured to me the more I talked about our club and the people in and around it. If there's something that you're interested in, I guarantee I can find someone that does it and that can help.
I'm very proud to know that there are still so many guys, like the above listed and so many others, that are more than happy to lend a hand to help newer club members find their way through motorsports and other interests. To you guys I say A BIG THANK YOU!!!
