Hey guys,

I saw where you were discussing the organizations fair and I found out they extended the deadline. Did yall get signed up? If not Contact Student Government for sure and they can get you details.

Also The Motorsports Festival this year.

We feel that this year it could be better than ever and we would like to do our part. Could you please let us know the planned dates so that we can start planning for the festival. Also, I would suggest a location with more room than last year as I noticed a few of the cars had no place to park.

keep us up to date as we would really like to help organize this thing and make it a great way to show Clemson University's Motorsports enthusiasts.

Brooks Bickley
Clemson Offroad Club President
Not sure if we've got a date set for the Motorsports Festival yet, but we need to figure it out in the first couple of meetings everyone.

And if no one else can I will do what I can with student government up here, but I suppose it might be better if someone in town could get that going.

Thanks for the heads up Brooks!
Thanks for the heads up Brooks, I contacted Student Gov to see what they need from us.

As for the motorsports festival, I think that all parties interested in being involved need to have a meeting right after school starts. I personally would love to have everybody who wants to help be able to help. I also think we should meet and discuss some ideas and get some planning going as well as meeting with Marty and Wendy and getting them involved again.
If y'all need posters or whatever approved let me know.
don't forget about the parade either Cool

The application deadline was last month.

Anyway, let's shoot for the first meeting or before to start talking about the motorsports festival. The earlier we finalize a date and location the easier it's going to be.
well that blows, I assume you guys have talked to someone over there and they told you guys "tough"? Angry
I'm aware that the deadline for the parade has passed, however Keegan and I are going to try our best to get us in esp. considering that there is still a month and a half before the actual parade. As you might have guessed, most of the officers including myself have taken a break from the forum and from the club in general. I think this was very needed, esp. for myself. Putting on the motorsports festival was much much more work than it was last year and much more than anyone from the outside looking in could imagine. The core group of guys that helped make the event happen did a great job and it wouldn't be what it was without there help.

As for next years event, I'll be helping with planning in the fall, however I can't guarantee where I'll be and how much time I can devote to the event in the spring. With the resources and connections that we realized last year, we have what I hope will become a long term event that CSCC will be known for and can put on to have some fun and attract new members.

Brooks thanks for getting the 4x4 guys out there. Def. like that we got to incorporate some different styles and interests in cars and trucks. We'll def. keep you updated and hope you guys can put on a cool display.

The key thing CSCC needs to focus on is getting people interested and involved. This still remains to be one of the issues that plagues this organization. I've tried to do my best to appeal to as many people as possible and to create incentives and value for them joining the club as a response and preemption to the usual "what am I getting for joining?". Sadly, many of these that ask this question don't seem to realize that this club is here to do more than get you discounts at an autox, or use of a forum, or weekly meetings. More importantly it generates friendships and connections with people that share the same enthusiasm for things car related. Furthermore, many don't realize that they can make this club pay for them through making it what they think it should be. I never anticipated being in my current position, however I saw an opportunity to do with the club what I wished and thought was best. So as a result, I made the club pay for me as a result of getting involved.

I sincerely hope that we can continue to grow this club and reach out to all parties that suite the best interests of this club. However, it is up to myself and the new officers to always ensure that we are willing to do what it takes to make things happen and to ensure the future of the club by passing the torch to enthusiastic and dedicated people in the future. This passing of the torch is sometimes forgotten and usually doesn't yield good results.
Registration for the organizations fair in August has been submitted, I am awaiting email confirmation and details.

What do you guys want done with the Scrapbook pages I made and the CSCC book, since Zach and I probably wont be around for the next Motorsports Festival? I figure if anything I can make copies of the pages I already have done and someone can take it and add to it whenever.
