I hit a pothole pretty hard on my way back to clemson today and got a flat. I had the car towed back to my house, but haven't gotten the wheel off yet. The wheel doesnt feel bent, and the tire doesnt look damaged, so I'm hoping i just unseated the tire.

So whats the best shop around to get this wheel checked out?
allgoods? (on 93 about halfway to anderson)

they look like a ricer shop, but i went by there once and the guy was actually damn knowledgeble.

What you dont have run flats on? Wink
Wheel wizard in Gville.
Thanks guys, the tire had a small split in it and the wheel is bent.... yay
What wheels do you have, it might be easier just to buy a replacement wheel/tire.
Buy dustins CCW's so he can get the wheels he wants.

If you need to get your wheel fixed, http://www.redlinerimrepair.com can take a look at it and quote it. Dont expect it to be cheap.

+1 allgoods. They were quick and nice.....good southern people. You may want to get your alignment checked at Teels too.

Stay away from mygarge.......waste so much time and $$$
polished c6 wheels, its an 18x8.5, and the tire was a michelin pilot sport ps2 in 245/35/18.
i have asked dustin about his wheels and he never got back to me
he wants some sort of other z06 wheel iirc.

it might be cheaper for you to buy a new wheel.
Allgoods is good. Checker Lube is Seneca is good.

Uh, I think that's it. Oh, somewhere in Pendleton, Pendleton Tire but I haven't ever been there.
I dont know about allgoods but those other places mentioned does not repair rims.

I only know of 2 places in the upstate and they are in Gville.
Someone referred me to a place by the bmw dealership i believe.
I don't mean to completely thread jack, but I've got a question as well, and am hoping I can find an experienced answer.

Here are the symptoms: If I don't give my car any gas, am basically just cruising in neutral, the car goes straight, maybe slightly to the left. If I DO give it gas, or it's in a relatively low gear that's doing a lot of pulling/engine braking, it pulls HARD to the right.

This has been an absolute pain in the ass for highway driving. I believe this first started to happen once I got my new good tires swapped onto my old light wheels and my old tires swapped onto my new heavy wheels, and put the newer, heavier wheels on my car. At the time the problem wasn't bad, it just seemed to be a little off with the alignment to the right, but wasn't anything to flip out over.

When I swapped on my lighter wheels with my new Kuhmo Ecsta XS tires on thursday so that I'd be ready for the autocross at Carowinds(which was yesterday), the problem was far more prominent. Even in 6th gear, giving the car gas would require me to constantly have my hand on the wheel to adjust for the steering to the right.

My car is the 2003 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V. Front wheel drive, with an LSD.

What could the problems possibly be? I find this to be an odd alignment issue, but I'm not sure if that would be the case. I was wondering if I didn't screw on the lug nuts tightly enough, but I kept checking and rechecking that, and it was completely fine. Is it possible that the wheels and tires aren't balanced, since the new tires were put on? They have little weights attached all along the inside of the wheels, but I'm not quite sure. It rides pretty smoothly, just not in the right direction.

I'm scared to think about it, but could the problem possibly be the differential? I'd hate to end up having to get a new LSD, that would be such a bitch, but I'll do it if necessary. Maybe a bent axle? I doubt it.

Someone experienced, please let me know what could possibly be the issue. This is seriously frustrating the hell out of me. cry
And to actually help out, I'd say Allgoods is a pretty good place. Incredible prices that you can't get anywhere else, the people are really cool too.
If you have a bent rim the ONLY place to go is Wheel Wizard off of Pointset in GVL. Ask for Chris and tell him I sent ya!

The guys who work out by the BMW dealer are amateurs in comparison. I gave them a brand new OZ last year to paint and you can see all the scuff marks in the paint and they painted it the wrong color (even though I had used them twice before and they remembered my other wheels).

They took this wheel last week and turned it into a brand new wheel (I can't find the repair) last week.
