Love the S2000s I test drove with Josh or just by myself. Get the 2.2L though.
imho the S2000 was faster than the Evo 10 MR. Both get pretty terribad insurance for a younger driver.
You could get an SLK55 for that... and it has a 5.4L V8.... I drove a 300hp SLK 350 and was impressed... I bet the SLK55 AMG isnt too crappy. Oh, and you wont have to worry about chinks stealing your seats with a folding hard top vs the S2000.

Theres really not that big of a difference between the F20 and F22 as far as straight line speed. The way the two cars are geared makes them dead even. On a track the extra displacement of the F22 helps it pull ahead especially out of corners but thats the only time you'll really notice it. For daily driving you can't tell a huge difference. The F22 is slightly better in the mid range (which is what you use for daily driving), but honestly I'd rather have the extra 1k rpms

AP2s are more competitive for stock class autocross
AP1s are likely better for that STR class though
who drag races a car that handles that well?

I know people that rev the 2.2l to 8800, but I think the mid range is more important than overall engine speed. The 2.0L is SLOOWWW around town.

I really hope they built the engine more if they are revving a F22 that high. Thats the equivalent of revving my F20 to almost 10k rpms. And yea you really do have to rev the bajesus out of the F20 to pick up speed.
But I love it!

I drove an s2000 for a day, it was fun. definatly a car that needs boost shuved down its throat though...

I guess its all in perspective - as long as you didn't short shift I found the AP1 to be plenty peppy enough
This is why you can't rule a car in or out until you drive one yourself and see. Way too much subjectivity/opinion/etc
^^ Exactly. I will admit this car isn't for everyone. But once you drive it and like it, you'll fall in love.

They are tons of fun. I really love driving them around.
